Friendly staff and pleasant. If going here do not use a satnav as the postcode takes you elsewhere. Google maps takes you to vets

Unbelievable how wonderful these vets are. Would give 20 stars if I could. They love my mare as if she were their own, giving her cuddles and taking her funny behaviour in stride. I feel relaxed and confident knowing she’s in their hands. You can’t get a better equine vet.

I have nothing but good things to say about forth valley vets. They made losing my mare less stressful.the staff are super caring and always treat any animal in their care like their own. I can't fault them what so ever.

EDIT2: Another vet ended up contacting me, apologising profusely and again explaining that this was due to the fault of the temporary lab they were using, and that they'd never use them again based on this experience. My livery quite rightly mentioned that since it had been 2 weeks, the results were now useless, so Forth Valley got another swab done the very next day, and have had Ibexx (the temp lab) pay for it Changed to 4 stars because the vets are fantastic and reception was too once the vet had explained why the sample was late; just wish I hadn't been given the run-around in the initial few days EDIT: I ended up texting the vet herself, who very quickly responded and told me that the reason for the delay was that they were using a new lab, and that they were also dissatisfied with their turnaround time, and gave me the tracking number for the sample. If the reception had just explained that this was the reason for the delay in the beginning, I wouldn't have minded despite the urgency, and wouldn't have needed to chase up so frequently. Sad when you get better information from the vet than from reception - 10/10 vet, 0/10 reception ---ORIGINAL POST--- Booked a herpes/flu/strangles swab for a horse I'm in the process of buying. Initially reception and vet were all lovely, although vet clearly hadn't been informed of the situation when she went to do the job; she was lovely and apologised, was no bother explaining. Vet was really good, went above and beyond and got bloods too in case I needed those, then discarded them for no fee when I said I only needed a swab, 10/10 on her part. However, the reception's organisation/management seems to be piss-poor. We have so far been waiting 10+ days for a response on the test results; I've phoned them the last few days (As they said up to 7 days for results, due to lab being busy) and every day they say "I'll ask the vet to phone you", "I'll ask the lab", and then the next day the same thing; they're clearly not actually doing it. This is an important test; the horse in question is extremely underweight, and so we need these results to come back so that we can buy her and get her to the new yard and onto the feed she needs to get back up to a healthy weight. The test also takes literally one hour to grow on the dish, so it's not even a long or difficult test. This horse was conditioned scored as 1.5, so this is literally a matter of life and death, and they do not have any urgency whatsoever. They clearly don't care, and they also don't even know what lab they sent it to; I phoned up to ask so that I could chase up with the lab themselves rather than bothering the Forth Valley staff, and they said they'd have to ask the vet and get back to me by the end of the day (Which they didn't). Clearly no organisation, no actual effort or care for the patients.
