This is a bit of a long-term review because we are so grateful to Pat and in some ways, the excellence of his work and attitude is becoming even more apparent as the years go by. We went to Ridge Referrals because our whippet-poodle cross Bob needed TPLO surgery. After some thought and a thorough examination, Pat decided that the surgery was too much for Bob's skinny bones and a simple arthroscopy would suffice to clean up the knee joint (sorry, not the right terminology!). This was nearly five years ago, and Bob is now nearly 16 years old and running around like a mad dog, with no limping at all. To us, this is like a miracle, but this is exactly what Pat promised us back in 2021. And if that wasn't enough, his calm demeanour also put Bob at ease completely, which is astonishing as he normally turns into a shivering wreck as soon as we enter any vet surgery. Thank you so much!

We recently (today) picked up our cane corso from Ridge after having had TPLO surgery for his torn cruciate ligament and meniscus and we are OVER THE MOON with the entire process. We visited Pat at Ridge about 3-4 weeks ago to get a thorough examination and X-rays done, and immediately felt so at ease and comfortable with the way Pat examined our pup. We had visited our local vet a couple of months prior and they seemed oddly wary and hesitant to throughly examine our dog, so the way Pat so calmly and easily checked our dog over was very reassuring. Our dog (Diesel) was so well looked after both before, during and after surgery & we received a total of 4 phone calls from the nurses & Pat himself to provide updates as to how Diesel was doing and how well the surgery went. I only expected the 1 call post op to say all was finished, so the 4 calls in total was amazing. Didn’t feel even remotely concerned about the care he’d be receiving. We can’t recommend Ridge Referrals enough - we’re so grateful for their work and care when it comes to our Diesel!

I can’t praise Ridge Referrals enough. From the very first call to the actual appointment, everything was handled with care and clarity. I was kept informed about what to expect, where to go, and the costs, and they really listened to me about my dog and our circumstances. The team were kind, empathetic, and explained everything clearly with diagrams and x-rays. Pat and his team supported us every step of the way—I’m so grateful for the way they looked after both me and my dog.

Visited today with our GSD. Consult to imaging to home with a diagnosis only took 3 hours. They managed her dog reactive behaviour well. She’s doing well at home. Thank you Louise and Pat

Few more weeks (hopefully) till Jessie is back to normal exercise. Thank you for fixing her. You've all been so wonderful and professional. Sorry she was loud and whiney. Here she is recovering after her most recent post op x-rays :)
