B&W Equine Vets - Stretcholt

B&W vets have provided the best care for my horses and in particular, Hayley at the Stretcholt Surgery has been amazing. Special thanks also to Jonathan and Amber.

More than pleased with the treatment my pony has received from Amber Whitmarsh . It’s been a long road to recovery and I totally appreciated the degree of communication, care , effort and love put into getting him to where we are now !

Only thing that is a worry is they want paying before they come out. Bit off putting if you're already stressed with your horse. Most vets give you a little time to pay

B&W are part of CVS a very large corporate vet group with HQ in Norfolk. There are some good and bad vets in B&W, and the lottery of which you could get does seriously outcome for your horse and cost for you. Overall my experience, and that of three liveries on my yard, was bad. Overall B&W have proven expensive, arrogantly dismissive of owners views and concerns, definitley not interested in feedback but most worryingly it would appear, target rather than compassionately driven. I think getting a horse to Breadstone, their surgery/hospital, is the ultimate goal, even if it's on 3 legs and they only want to euthanise. All of us have since left B&W and signed up with small independent practices, who have proven to be all the things a vet should be at much less cost. Shop around, avoid the big corporate vets!

I’m very happy with the vet that came out and treated and the practice, but the lady I called up and spoke to seemed rude and quite disrespectful I had been told information and then was told differently she had asked me to pay more then I expected and was told earlier in the week , then got an apology message saying it was a mistake and she still proceeded to tell me I was wrong and I just felt it was bad customer service and rude
