Being referred to MVS is not what any pet owner wants. But our worries and stress was eased as soon as we met steve , our dog was lame on one of her legs and steve explained all the things it could be in great detail. He then proceeded with xrays and CT scan, when we collected out dog later that day he reiterated his diagnosis that was discussed on the phone while showing us the xray and CT images. Surgery was booked within the week at an early drop off time to suit us, medication was explained for pre- op as we have a very nervous dog. We was kept informed throughout the day of the Surgery ( luxating patella) of how our girl was doing. We collected her later that day, given a detailed explanation of how to ensure good aftercare at home and painkillers. A nurse rang 2 days later to check everything was ok and if we had any concerns and to remind us they are always at the end of the phone should we need them. A further consultation with steve at 7 weeks post op and he was happy with the outcome and her progress as are we. All in all a very positive experience for both my dog and ourselves. Thank you to everyone at MVS especially Steve who took such good care of our girl.

Ella our gorgeous little fur baby was treated for a prolapsed disc, (tail end). The care & treatment was 1st class , all staff are lovely and so caring, going the extra mile to make Ella & her human mum and dad feel reassured. . All information relating to pre and post care was superb, provided in layman’s language , no jargon. Felt so at ease and confident that Ella would have the best of treatment & care at MVS Manchester. All staff deserve medals ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Manchester Veterinary Specialists have been exceptional. After a well-known veterinary chain performed surgery on my dachshund incorrectly, I was left incredibly worried and unsure who to trust for help. Thankfully, I found MVS, and the difference in care and outcome has been remarkable. From the first consultation, they were professional, informative, and clearly extremely knowledgeable. They took the time to explain everything in detail, answered all my questions, and showed genuine care and attention throughout the process. The revision surgery was a complete success. Since being treated by MVS, my dog has been significantly better — far more comfortable, mobile, and so much happier in himself. It’s been a huge relief to see him return to his normal self. Their attention to detail, clinical skill, and compassion stand out in every way. Without a doubt, the best orthopaedic vets I’ve come across, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone in need of specialist care.
