Amazing staff, great facilities. They do a wonderful job treating and rehabilitating wild animals. I took an injured baby rabbit to see if they could help it. They provide updates on their website using the reference number they give you when you drop an animal off. There is a shop in the reception area with lovely gifts that also provides funds for the charity. You can also purchase a membership online and donate much needed funds. Please support them by donating anything you can spare.

A sick/injured fox was lying on the pavement outside our house early this morning. After ringing a few numbers to get advice on what to do, I got through to Vale, and they sent out a volunteer to assist. I am hugely grateful for their assistance. What a wonderful organisation. Thank you so much for helping.

Yesterday, I came across a buzzard that appeared to have been concussed, likely from being hit by a car. I took the bird to my local vet, Henwick Vets, who kept it safely in a dark, quiet crate until someone from the Vale Wildlife Rescue Centre could come and collect it. I’m so grateful to the Vale for coming to collect the bird and for the important work they do. It was reassuring to see the bird safely passed into their care and I am looking forward to finding out how this beautiful bird is doing!

Well....the devastation continues. My cats are providing vale with plenty to do. Today i took a beautiful msle sparrow, I didn't have a clue that's what it qas until they told me. It was a little bit bleeding so they've given it antibiotics and now we just have to Hope he'll be OK thus first 48hours is the worst. Over the years I've had to bring a few pigeons (often don't make it) frogs and soarriws and they have been absolutely lovely. I usually leave a nice donation to make up for the costs financially. They are never judgey and always take really good care of whatever I take them. Its easy to find and I go right past the turn every time. There's a toilet and a lovely gift shop. Fingers crossed for this one. She looks like butter wouldn't melt doesn't she (and it wouldn't but largely because she's eaten it) vale are currently trialing birds outside just as an fyi

A wonderful haven for wildlife to rest & mend. I don't know what I would have done on several occasions when wildlife I've found sick or injured & have needed help if it wasn't for this place. Local vets won't see them. Thank goodness for the lovely kind people at Vale Wildlife Hospital.

Attended their annual open day last weekend and what an amazing hospital and event!! Plenty of plant based food and amazing animal protection organisations present. So lucky to have this hospital in our area and so many patients being taken care of. Fantastic staff and truly amazing volunteers giving their time to the wildlife.
