  I cannot THANK the team at WMR enough for supporting our Greyhound, Blue, following a hock fracture on Christmas Day. Without Andy, Blue could have potentially had his leg amputated. The surgery he received and all of Simon's support afterwards has been exemplary. It has been a LONG five month recovery but so so worth it! Thank you all for your hard work with him! We will be forever grateful and so will Blue!

  I would like to express my heartfelt thanks for your support during a difficult time. My beloved dog, who I had for 11 wonderful years, suffered from dementia, and it was incredibly hard to see him struggle. Throughout it all, your care and understanding made a real difference. I would definitely recommend this vet to anyone seeking compassionate and thoughtful care. Thank you so much.

  This is a really impressive practice. I already knew the vet I was seeing and went specifically to seek his help. That said, the practice alone is excellent. My dog usually shows signs of fear/intimidation as soon as you take her near a vets. Although she had been through a very difficult time, that was not the case here. Blankets are provided to help you make pets comfortable (there are different areas for different pets; also for nervous ones) and steps are taken to actively reduce pet anxiety. Everything is very well thought through. All staff are very helpful and supportive. Processes and prices are clearly explained. This is a place that cares about your pets. Of course treatment comes at a price (but find me anyone saying UK vets are affordable right now!) but the sense you get here is truly priceless. Genuine effort is made to treat your pet as an individual whilst providing excellent veterinary care. I cannot recommend West Midlands Veterinary Referral highly enough.

  Amazing Veterinary center. They saved my little Moona’s life . She was admitted to their care from an emergency oncall vet. We were informed she would require an amputation of leg and removal of one of her eyes following a suspected RTA. Everyone cared for her amazingly. I was given regular updates of her progress. They even managed to save her leg. She’s come home and is recovering well with the help of a very detailed and clear post op recovery discharge package. Very reasonably priced. All staff were very caring and professional. A lovely lovely place . Moona and myself are very grateful ♥️thankyou xxx

  Absolutely 5 ⭐ I would leave 10 if I could! Our boy River was referred due to a bad break in his leg, he was seen immediately and was lovingly cared for with a successful surgery and lots of cuddles. We were given constant updates and everything was handles through insurance without us needing to do anything. Would DEFINITELY recommend Chris and his team!

  Fantastic experience - all the staff were really helpful and kind at such a stressful time with my dog. The surgeon was really clear with explanations, guiding me through each step for her consultation and x-ray and thankfully when deciding she didn’t need surgery, he was really clear with explaining her issues and what the next steps were. They took really good care of my dog while in WMR care and it’s the first time she’s been to a vet practice and not been crying/scared - they gave my dog the space and time to explore a little before the consultation and it’s a very warm and inviting space. Highly recommend!

  Thank you to all involved who did the operation on Bronson (Ronnie). We could not have asked for a better service. From start to finish you were very thorough and compassionate. Ronnie had the op and came home same day as he is a nervous dog. He was given amazing care whilst with The West Midlands Referral Team, this his anxiety was kept to a minimal. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants an outstanding treatment at a reasonable cost. Thank you from Andy and Ann, and Ronnie sends his love xxx

  Lovely , clean premises . The staff were all friendly and professional and welcoming. Our spaniel had to have a cruciate ligament operated on and Chris the veterinary surgeon who we saw was very informative, showing us X-rays and explaining fully what needed to be done , how long it would take , gave our spaniel Molly lots of fuss and put us totally at ease. Chris went through all the after care with us and explained things that could go wrong. We were called after procedure to tell us everything went well and we could pick her up later. On pick up we saw physiotherapist first who gave us information for first 2 weeks and then we saw Chris again who showed us X-rays and went through what had been done. We were given paperwork on what to do and what medications to give and to book another appointment in 8 weeks (all included in one of price) for more X-rays to see how healing. Chris and team made the whole process less worrying, thank you for looking after our Molly.

  In September 2023 and again in January 2024, our beloved Maine Coon boy underwent FHNE surgery performed by the outstanding team at West Midlands Veterinary Referrals. From our very first conversation through to our boys full recovery, they went above and beyond in every way. They patiently explained each step of the FHNE procedure and answered every one of our 1,000 questions with kindness and calm. He was treated like more than just a patient—he was family. Their nursing team monitored him attentively, reassured us throughout, and always made sure he was comfortable. They handled every detail from scheduling to aftercare with empathy and efficiency, taking the stress off us entirely. Because of their skill and compassion, our boy is thriving today. He does what he feels comfortable and capable of doing. I know we couldn’t have asked for a better outcome, or a better team to guide us.
