Very impressed with the care and treatment that our dog receives at Focus Referrals. Their intervention and care has certainly saved his sight. Cat has been brilliant at every stage and our dog is making really good progress, thanks to her support.

Friendly staff, great vet (James) who explains everything in detail and has great rapport with my pet chihuahua Billie (who has attitude). We went to see them as it looked like he had a cataract but after further investigations it turned out he had been blind in that eye probably since birth. To cut a long story short he ended up having to have his eye removed as at some point he would have been in a lot of pain needing an emergency operation so we thought planned surgery was better (and he hasn't even noticed it has gone). Nice clean vets with lovely staff. Easy location to access with parking. Would highly recommend.

We cannot thank Focus Referrals Eye Vets enough for the exceptional care they have given Maisy. James has been incredibly kind, patient, and compassionate throughout, always making sure we fully understood her complex eye conditions and treatment options. Whenever we’ve needed to be seen urgently, they have always fitted us in quickly, which has been such a reassurance. The level of expertise and genuine care shown has been outstanding. All of the team are fantastic—friendly, professional, and clearly passionate about what they do. We wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend Focus Referrals to anyone needing specialist eye care for their pet.

My English Bulldog has always been in such good hands at Focus Referrals throughout every part of his journey with them. The front-of-house team makes the clinic welcoming from the moment you walk in, and their communication as well as those behind the scenes is flawless, keeping me informed every step of the way. The whole team shows genuine kindness, professionalism, and compassion, going above and beyond to ensure both pets and their owners feel comfortable. Their dedication to my boy’s wellbeing has been incredible, and the clinic is spotless too. We couldn’t recommend them enough—thank you for everything!

We recently noticed our Basset Hound had developed a cloudy eye. Our usual vets referred us to Focus Referrals, where we met Mark, who confirmed it was a cataract. He talked us through all the options and helped us understand the long-term implications of treatment versus no treatment. Because of the risk of glaucoma, we felt surgery was the right decision, and Mark carried it out with excellent results so far. It’s now been a month since the operation and we’re really pleased we went ahead. The aftercare has been intense, so booking time off work turned out to be ideal. We were also reassured that any concerns could be emailed in, and the team genuinely meant it, they monitor the inbox closely. When we needed advice, Mark responded quickly with both a call and an email, which really helped us get our dog’s inflammation under control. The veterinary nurses have also been fantastic throughout. They were understanding, attentive, and always patient when we had questions. During what can be an overwhelming period of multiple medications and strict routines, their calm reassurance made a real difference. Focus also provides very helpful printed guides to track medications and eye drop schedules, which has been invaluable in keeping everything organised during recovery. We were worried about whether insurance would pay out, but the admin team at Focus were fantastic. They raised the claim for us and explained the process clearly. They were efficient, prompt, and really supportive through what is always a stressful time. Surgery is never an easy decision, but looking back, we’re very grateful to have been referred to Focus and to Mark. We feel reassured that our Basset’s long-term eye health is in excellent hands. Thank you to the whole team.

Focus referrals have been absolutely amazing with my dog Bruno. From the very first appointment everything was explained in great detail to help us understand what the process would be from surgery to aftercare. The whole team are welcoming and friendly, Mike who done Bruno’s surgery has been incredible, even the aftercare is closely monitored by him and all consultations since have been brilliant. Also would like to acknowledge our first consultation with James who was very helpful, welcoming & lovely with our Bruno. Thank you to everyone at focus referrals, we appreciate you so much!

All the staff at Focus Referrals are incredibly kind and professional. We cannot thank Mike Rhodes enough for his ongoing care of our little dog Ted who has faced serious eye issues. Mike’s calm, reassuring and professional skill set has taken away the feelings of helplessness and fear we experienced at the start and we feel there is nowhere better Ted could be looked after.

Really positive experience with James at Focus Referrals. He is really knowledgeable, and manages to translate that quite complex information into language and even pictures that I understand. He’s very kind to boo-boo, and to me.. Crucially, the medication he prescribed and the other treatments I carried out meant that boo-boo’s eye ulcers Rapidly healed. I’m very grateful.

Helen and the rest of the team at Focus Referrals were fantastic. The team showed kindness and understanding and we were provided clear advice at all times throughout the process. When it became clear that surgery was the best approach for our cat the post-operative support was patient and attentive. Minerva's recovery has been fantastic to see - she has gone from a sad and confused kitty back to her usual meowsy self in less than two weeks, and since then the improvements have been incredible. As Helen has said to me cat's eyes are amazing - I'd just like to add that so is the team at Focus Referrals. Thank you!.
