Was able to discuss all aspects of my cat's condition and was given good, sensible advice at all stages. Most reassuring.

Maria was very thorough in examining my puppy. She is extremely dedicated and thoughtful. Thank you to the team in reception for always making Scoobys and myself feel welcome.

My dog is allergic to most things as he's got older its got worse, working together we have it under control each vet listened to my concerns and supported me through the process. I wouldn't take him anywhere else. Everyone in the practise is welcoming. Good parking.

It was heartbreaking, but your kindness and compassion helped so much. You came to our home and we were able to say goodbye and love him until his last breath. It gives us comfort, thank you 🐾♥️.

I recently visited Hawthorne Lodge Veterinary Practice with my two cats, and I couldn’t be happier with the care we received. Maite, the vet who saw us, was absolutely wonderful. She was compassionate, gentle, and incredibly reassuring, which really helped to put both me and my cats at ease (I was quite nervous beforehand!). What I appreciated most was that we weren’t rushed at all. Maite took her time with the examination, ensuring both my cats were comfortable throughout. The premises were spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with separate waiting areas for cats and dogs—a brilliant touch that made the experience much less stressful. The receptionists were equally fantastic—friendly, welcoming, and even going the extra mile to help me carry one of the cat carriers back to my car. The practice also has a spacious car park, which made getting the carriers in and out of the car much easier. I found the costs to be reasonable, and while everything was clearly explained to me, I do think an online price list would be a helpful addition for future visits. All in all, I highly recommend Hawthorne Lodge Veterinary Practice for their exceptional care and professionalism. We will be back in a few weeks for a follow-up with Maite. We had to make the heartbreaking decision to put our beloved dog to sleep and sadly, the experience at this practice made an already traumatic moment even worse. From start to finish, the process felt disorganised and uncertain. The staff did not appear to know what they were doing, and we were left feeling unsupported and confused. We were told that they would take a print of his nose for us to keep, something I was really holding onto as a small piece of him. We’ve since been told that this didn’t happen — because the nurse went to lunch and it was simply forgotten. My dog has now been cremated, and we’ll never get that chance back. There are no second chances in a moment like this. What should have been handled with care and compassion felt careless and rushed. I truly hope no one else has to experience this.
