Quoting Vet Verified’s figures
You’re welcome to quote our figures, such as a typical vet price or a count of practices. Credit Vet Verified and link to the page the figure came from.
The short version
Journalists, researchers, writers and pet owners can quote individual figures and small excerpts from Vet Verified free of charge, as long as they credit Vet Verified and link to the page the figure came from.
Search engines and AI assistants may read, index and quote our pages, as any reader can. Collecting our data at scale for commercial use, republishing it as a dataset or product, or using it to train AI models needs our written permission first.
What you can do
These uses are free and need no permission, in articles, reports, newsletters, social posts and academic work.
- Quote figures.
- You can quote individual figures, such as a typical price, a price range, a share of practices or a count of practices.
- Use small excerpts.
- You can reproduce a small excerpt, such as a few rows of a table or a single chart, as long as you don’t reproduce most of a page.
- Index and answer.
- Search engines and AI assistants may crawl, index and quote our public pages and figures, with a link to the page where they can.
- Credit and link.
- Each use must credit Vet Verified and link to the page the figure came from, for example “Source: Vet Verified, vetverified.com/vet-prices/vet-consultation”. Where a link isn’t possible, such as in print or on air, name Vet Verified and the page. The “Cite this data” box on our price pages gives a ready-made citation.
- Keep it accurate.
- Don’t change our figures, and say when they were checked where you can. Don’t suggest that Vet Verified endorses you, your product or your conclusions.
What needs our written permission
Ask us first before any of these uses.
- Bulk copying.
- Collecting, scraping or downloading our data at scale for commercial use, as our terms also say, or copying a substantial part of a page or of the directory.
- Republishing.
- Publishing our data as a dataset, directory, price comparison or other product or service.
- AI and machine learning.
- Using our data to train, fine-tune or benchmark AI or machine-learning models.
About the figures
Our figures describe what practices publish. They are not quotes or advice.
Prices are those practices or their groups publish, gathered and summarised as how we collect prices and our methodology explain. We take care over them, but we cannot promise they are complete or current, so a pet owner should check with the practice.
This licence covers the figures Vet Verified calculates, such as typical prices, price ranges, shares and counts of practices. A single practice’s price is the practice’s own: quote it as that practice’s price and check it with the practice. Practices’ photos and descriptions, and information from public registers, belong to the practices and organisations that provide them.
Asking for permission
Tell us what you’d like to use and how, and we’ll reply.
Email support@vetverified.com. We usually reply within two working days.
This licence sits alongside our terms, which cover the rest of the site. When we change this page, we update the date at the top.
