The Verification tick is awarded based on three independent factors. Pet owners see the Verification; practices know the work behind it. We only ever award Verified status when all three hold.

    Confirmation on the RCVS register.

    Every Verified listing is cross-checked against the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons' public register. A practice has to be currently registered and in good standing on the RCVS database before it can become Verified.

    The accreditations you've already earned.

    Evidence of the accreditations your practice holds. These will then be showcased on your Verified listing, so the work you've put in is evident where it counts.

  3. 03

    A real person at the practice, claiming and managing the Verified listing.

    The strongest signal of the three. Verified listings are owned by a named person at the practice. They are responsible for keeping your data current. They will have access to a user friendly Verified listing practice page, professional dashboard and dedicated Account Manager.

    Tell us about your practice, your team, and the standards you work to. Most practices finish the form in under thirty minutes, and you can pause and come back to it at a time that suits you.

    We verify, in the background.

    Our team cross-checks the public registers, reads through your accreditation documentation, and follows up over email if anything's missing. We do the chasing; you keep seeing your clients.

    Your Verification goes live.

    The Verification tick will be updated on your practice page and across the search directory on the same day we sign off your verification. You will receive a login that lets you edit practice specific details and reply to clients whenever suits you.

    Re-verified each year, by us.

    We re-check the practice credentials annually so the verification stays meaningful. If an accreditation has lapsed we email you first, with time to renew, before anything changes on the public listing. Equally if you attain new accreditations these can be added to your listing once verified.

What does it cost to be verified?
Verification is a paid annual subscription. Verified practices will also benefit from the support of a dedicated Account Manager to maximise their listing's potential. There will also be upgradable features including review management, appointment booking, prescription ordering, messaging facilities, and social media management which can be added to your plan. We believe that a quick conversation is the easiest way to understand your practice's needs and tailor a bespoke plan to suit you.
How long does verification take?
Most practices are verified within seven to fourteen days. The application takes about thirty minutes to complete. Our team will then cross-check the RCVS register and your accreditation certificates. The Verification tick will go live on your public listing the same day we sign it off.
Do you do site visits or surprise inspections?
No. We work from public registers, the certificates you upload, and the listing that a real person at the practice maintains. Verification is a documents and people process, not an audit.
What happens if one of our accreditations lapses?
We re-check credentials every year, by hand. If something has lapsed, we email you first with time to renew before anything changes on the public listing.
Is there paid placement above verified practices?
No. Verified practices rank above unclaimed listings; that is the only ordering rule. There is no featured tier, no sponsored slot, and we never sell the spot at the top of the page.
We're a multi-site group. Can we verify several practices at once?
Yes. Get in touch and we'll handle the group as one application. Each practice is verified individually against its own RCVS registration, but the paperwork is consolidated.
