I highly recommend this clinic to all exotic pet owners! We have been treating our bearded dragon here for some time now, and we are consistently impressed by their professionalism and care. The staff is incredibly kind and friendly, ensuring every visit is stress-free for both us and our lizard. What truly sets this place apart is their deep expertise. Instead of generic advice, we always receive very specific and practical tips regarding diet, supplements, and terrarium conditions, which have significantly improved our dragon's quality of life. The clinic is equipped with excellent diagnostic facilities. They performed many professional tests that allowed for a precise assessment of our pet's health and the right course of treatment. It’s clear that the team consists of true enthusiasts who really understand reptile specifics. If you are looking for a place where your "dragon" will be in the best possible hands, this is it!

For rabbits: for those who've been with Great Western Exotics and moving to Swindon Chipping Norton be mindful it's a mixed animals Vets so there are dogs and cat waiting areas in same Receptiin area nd the dogs were walking to the consulting rooms in front of where we were sat. Not ideal as quite close. They offered to put the rabbit in an empty room on request or you can sit in the car and wait which may be my preferred option next time. They have covers for carriers you can borrow and nice touch and a box of VERY nice Timothy Hay there available. We only went for booster jabs for the rabbit today. It was all done very well and the online booking system and text reminders were useful. We didn't wait too long to book the appointment and lots of slots available. They have two Exotics Vets if you are happy to travel to know your rabbit would get acess to excellent 24/7. But be mindful the road is closed near by the vets at time of writing so check your journey route and time accordingly if coming any distance! They are Gold RWA members. See photo of cert and board. Price list is displayed in board. Correct at time of posting. Only reason for 4 stars is being a mixed practice and not specialist Exotics only and the small animal area could do with being walled off because they had big dogs walking to consult rooms right next to us. It wasn't an Exotics vets we saw vut they did mention this straight at start and we were only there to get booster jabs. So I have not experienced the need to see one of their two Exotics vets to measure that.

Outstanding absolutely second to none! Compassion led, perfectly professional, superbly skilled and heart fully honest. The lengths they went to, to offer us comfort and compassion is beyond word. Our dearest Tilly, Shih Tzu age 12, suddenly became very ill and in severe acute pain, their instincts was kidney, yep they were right, a stone stuck, sadly she had her last sleep the next day. They offered us time and space to process the news pre and post her last sleep, not once were we rushed, the gentle compassionate nods from reception as we left and emails that followed so made a very emotional experience more personal and meaningful. We’ve used Chippy vet hospital many times with Tilly, each time was 10/10! I can only end this review saying what feels so insignificant for the lengths they all went to; , thank you so very deeply x🐾🌈

Little mix up with dates but quick to move things around and squeeze us in. Great place. Peter is a great asset to the team. Always great with our dogs. Best vets we have ever used.

If you value thorough veterinary care, I would not place your pet in the hands of this practice. I trusted this practice with my dog’s life, and that trust was misplaced. I took my dog to this practice after mammary lumps suddenly appeared. Despite my concerns, the examination was extremely brief and dismissive. I was told she was “fine” and that the lumps were most likely hormonal and related to her coming into season in the following months. No proper examination, diagnostic tests, biopsies, or follow-up plan were offered. Months later, after her season, the lumps were still present. I sought a second opinion from another veterinary practice. They carried out a thorough examination, immediately identified the lumps as suspicious, and performed biopsies without delay. These confirmed they were cancerous. My dog has since passed away. The fact that a serious and ultimately fatal condition was dismissed at this practice is devastating. I will always live with the pain of knowing that her cancer was not taken seriously when it first presented and that earlier investigation may have changed the outcome. Based on my experience, I have no confidence in this veterinary practice. I would strongly urge anyone whose concerns are minimised or dismissed here to seek a second opinion immediately.

Unfortunately Luke (the vet) had to tell me my Senegal Parrot had passed away. He was considerate, empathetic, respectful & totally professional throughout. I thank him for his support & kindness. The practice then sent me a hand written, condolence card a week afterwards - a gesture I really appreciated.

I am preparing to take my mother's cat back to Denmark to live with me. This first round of treatment was efficient, professional and friendly. The recommendation to help with Cleo's relocation was a very kind offer. Thank you all😺
