Im writing this as a complain about the standard of care and the billing practices at this practice. We brought our four-day-old kitten to them after she stopped feeding. We were deeply distressed by the veterinarian's handling of her during the consultation. The manner in which she was manipulated, forcefully spun around and handled rough and insensitive was extremely alarming to witness. The kitten threw up on the spot and the doctor offered no professional insight, only kept on asking us what we think. Despite a bill of £280, compromising a £50 consultation no diagnosis was provided. We were sent home with some drops, but our kitten sadly passed away the following day. While i understand that not every illness can be cured, the lack of a diagnosis and lack of empathy has led me to question whether the care provided was appropriate or if their primary motive was their financial gain. We also brought our other cat in for neutering for which we had quoted a price of £120. Upon payment, we were informed the fee was £165, due to an additional £45 for a microchip that was implanted without our prior knowledge or consent. While I acknowledge that microchipping is a legal requirement, we were never informed that they intended to perform this procedure during the operation, nor were we given the option to consent or discuss the additional cost. This constitutes an unauthorised additional charge. For a household budgeting carefully for veterinary costs, an unexpected £45 is a significant and unwelcome financial pressure, especially considering the fact that this practice does not offer a plan setup. I will not be returning to this practice with my pets and will advise others to avoid it

We recently took our dog Murphy to this practice after he developed a persistent cough. Murphy has cancer, and unfortunately our previous vets weren’t willing or able to explore options that might make him more comfortable. From our very first visit here, the difference was clear. The team suggested some experimental treatment plans to try to ease his cough - something we hadn’t been offered before. On Monday, Murphy had an emergency when he began vomiting, and the care he received from Kevin was absolutely phenomenal. He took such care and attention with Murphy, prescribed new medication, and within 24 hours the transformation was remarkable. Not only has the cough completely disappeared, but Murphy is the happiest and most comfortable we’ve seen him in months. What really impressed us further was that, while our old vets were not willing to perform an X-ray without putting Murphy under general anaesthetic, Kevin was able to do so with him fully conscious - avoiding unnecessary risk and stress. Although his condition is still serious, we are so grateful to see him enjoying life again. We truly believe that if we had stayed with our old vets, we might not still have him with us today. We can’t thank Kevin and the team enough for giving Murphy this precious extra time.

As always a very positive ecperience. My 6month old puppy had her adolescent health check which in itself is a great idea. It also gave me a chance to discuss any issues. All the staff are welcoming friendly and helpful. Their first concern is the health of the pets She is now 5 years old and Mansion Hill vets have been excellent all along. She just had a problem, they fitted her in at the last minute, diagnosed the problem and sorted her medication. I cannot be more positive about them everyone is very helpful and kind She’s 8 now and going grey but the care given by mansion hill vets is, as always, excellent. We now live in Warwickshire which makes it at least 20 minutes each way but I wouldn’t dream of changing to a different vet. We visited Mansion Hill vets yesterday because Ruby was being very sick. We got an appointment straight away and as always the care and treatment was excellent. Ruby is beginning to feel better

Wish this had a 6* option. Really cannot recommend Mansion Hill, John and his amazing team, enough. Over the life of our cat Felix they have been there every step of the way. We had to put him to sleep today, and John came to the house, calmed our nerves, and make it all very peaceful, what we needed for what has been a difficult day. Thank you John, and everyone who works at Mansion Hill, we really appreciate having such an amazing veterinary practice.
