First time using Avonvale with my new pony, magic. Esme came out to microchip and passport him, and she was absolutely amazing! I explained that magic was a bit of a nervous pony when it came to new things and that he would most likely settle as he loves new people, in which she took in and made time to say hello and take her time, even speaking to him while she did what she needed too. Also giving me options on how we could go about microchipping him, in which he wasn’t used to the clippers, then she opted for scissors to make magic more comfortable and less nervous. When cleaning the site that she clipped, she took care and once again thought about magic, being extra gentle. Cool, calm and collected. Even made time to speak to me about what I do and what plans I have for Magic in the future. You truly have got a wonderful vet. And I would absolutely love to see her again. I could go on all day about how amazing Esme was! Magic can’t wait to see her again, he wants to say thank you for making him first ever vet visit easy!

I can’t thank Carys, Claire, and the whole team at Avonvale Vets enough for the care they’ve given my horse over what has been an incredibly challenging 6 months. From supporting us through my horses fracture to dealing with various (very stressful!) self-inflicted injuries afterwards, they have been absolutely outstanding throughout. Every single person - from the reception team to the vets themselves - has been so kind, patient, and reassuring. They always took the time to explain everything clearly, never rushed decisions, and were always at the end of the phone whenever I needed advice or reassurance. Their professionalism, compassion, and genuine care for both horse and owner truly stood out. You never really know how good your vets are until you really need them… and this year I’ve found out just how exceptional Avonvale Vets are. I’m incredibly grateful and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone! THANK YOU AVONVALE!!

Claire was so lovely and so knowledgeable at my horses vetting, it was really a fantastic experience abd left me feeling like I can really trust that my horse is well and I made the right purchase thanks to Claire's expertise. But even the staff at the reception was incredibly friendly and so helpful, always with a smile. So thanks so much team Avonvale!

Would highly recommend all of the team at Avonvale - they have looked after our equine family for over 20 years now. Claire is exceptional with both our competition ponies, and our elderly retired ones - she is pragmatic, supportive and hugely responsive. Not afraid of the difficult conversations, which she handles with equal amounts of sensitivity and pratical advice. I completly trust her and her team to do the best for our ponies - as well as hugley knowledgeable and current, they are transparent, honest and always available. Thank you

The vets and staff at Avonvale are simply Brillaint. Owning a particularly tricky rescue pony makes each visit challenging, yesterday’s more than most. But Charlotte and Christina were so patient and understanding. As owners it’s sometimes quite stressful having even routine procedures done. We have always been made to feel that nothing is too much trouble and have never felt rushed. I wouldn’t use anyone else for our ponies, the whole team is amazing.

Whilst the vetting was thorough and fine. The vet who came out, was quite rude. Very blunt, didn’t really speak and made the whole event quite uncomfortable and nerve wracking for myself, and the horses seller. The job was done at the end of the day, but customer service in person wasn’t great. Can’t fault the reception team though. I am not local so had numerous phone calls with them, and they were friendly, helpful and informative each time. However, after the vetting, payment was taken prior to an invoice being sent. I was expecting an invoice first.
