We went to Gateshead vets 4 pets on Thursday 7th may. Our youngest Shihtzu was very poorly. He was passing blood. We rushed straight to vets for when they opened. Bethany the vet took one look at our dog and rushed him straight through to the back. She gave him Oxygen and an iv fluid drip to stabilise him She did bloods and ultrasound and came through to say she had got him stabilised and was contacting Moorview referrals to get him Transferred. Bethany and Nikki the nurse and another one or 2 nurses ( one of which our dog usually goes berserk with excitement when he sees her) were keeping an eye on him while we waited for Moorview to ring. He was very poorly with Acute Haemorrhagic diarrhoea. If it hadn’t been for Bethany and the girls quick actions he wouldn’t be here now. We thought we’d lost him on the way to the Moorview 😪 as he was so weak. He’s like an assistance dog for my 14 year old daughter who has autism. And adhd he’s not trained to be assistance dog but he has his own ways of helping my daughter when she’s distressed. Since we got tucker she’s never stopped hugging him and he’s always making her laugh. After two nights at Moorview he came home. He was still not 100% but with his medications and slowly introducing his food. He’s almost 💯 so thank you to everyone that helped us on Thursday. Photos of before he came home to today he’s amazing.

The staff are all amazing, my puppy was neutered there and they went above and beyond. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I cannot recommend enough. Beth , Courtney all the other nurses and fantastic receptionists are kind , genuine and caring - attributes which are essential when you are entrusting your pets to them . My dog Ronnie is in the safest of hands - trust them implicitly!

Great Vets, very reliable service. We've brought our three cats here from being kittens (now 4-5yr old) and never had any problems. My only issue; we do often wait quite a while passed the appointment time to be seen, which isn't ideal.

Had to take my sick guinea pig in to be seen and they were brilliant. The vet, Sam, was really good. Unfortunately, we lost our little piggy a few days later. The staff here were very compassionate and caring. They informed me of all the options we had. We received a "sorry for your loss" card from them in the post which I thought was lovely.
