I highly recommend Westway Veterinary!!!! They were so kind and caring with my dog Sophi. They removed a very big tick from her paw and kept me informed every step of the way. They were also very helpful on the phone and offered options that worked both for my budget and for Sofi’s wellbeing. Just a few hours later, Sofi is already eating, going outside, and happy again. ❤️ Thank you so much for your kindness and professionalism!

Westway vets(particularly Caroline and Gayle) were amazing with my boy frankee. We were very close to having to let him go but they didn’t give up on him even in those last minutes. Just at the right time they spotted a change with Frankee which meant he might have a chance. They referred us to a specialist and my boy is finally stable and (hopefully) back to having his whole life ahead of him. They were amazing and knew exactly what his illness could be, he in fact was diagnosed with exactly what they said. We are so grateful to them x

Beyond over the moon with the care everyone has here. My 14 year old Italian greyhound had a lump behind one of his front legs. Test results back in hours and surgery booked in for a couple of days later. The result is a pain free happy doggy once again! Cannot thank Lucy, all the nurses and staff at West Road Clinic enough for your care and love to my little one! If I could give you 10 stars I would! THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

My cat Was ill unexpectedly and the out of our team advised me to bring him in. They talked me through everything before doing any tests or examinations. The results were that he was suffering from gastritis and had to receive treatment right away. They gave him ultrasound and did blood tests, Give medication to treat the infection, increase hydration and monitored food intake, toileting and his response to treatment. He was discharged from care after overnight observations and I was given antibiotics to continue treatment at home. He is doing a lot better and I appreciate lucie the veterinarian and the westways team at Newcastle. Make sure you have insurance to help with cost of tests and treatment. As costs do add up to avoid additional stress for yourself and getting into financial difficulties.

Can not rate this vets enough!! Very professional and VERY competent! Had to take my very nervous bulldog after suddenly struggling to walk and being in pain. Sue the vet I seen was brilliant with her, took her time and had confidence handling her. The consultation was extremely thorough and not rushed (at least 20 minutes). Sue was very friendly, and knowledgeable, and made me feel at ease. Have to give a huge mention to Jason also for being on hand at literally the drop of a hat!!! 🫶🏼 Wouldn’t take my dogs anywhere else now.

We had an unfortunate and unexpected turn on bomb fire night with my beautiful Newfoundland. Unfortunately we had to let her go upon arrival but West Way staff were amazing through this difficult time. They rang as I was on my way checking everything was okay, they waited for my arrival and rushed to our aid the second we pulled up. They were compassionate and understanding, and they kept reassuring scarlet and my family during the process. As for pricing, I believe it was very reasonable for an out of hours, private vet. And I would pay 10 times the amount again knowing scarlet was shown love and affection from all members of staff who didn’t even know her. Thank you West Way for everything ❤️🩹🌈

I cannot fault our dogs vet, she is absolutely lovely. She genuinely cares for her patients & is very supportive to the owners too. Sue has been amazing with our boy, he completely adores her & feels safe with her which puts our minds at ease. It is good to have continued care for him with the same vet. That is very important to us, as she knows his health issues, his needs & we trust her 100% with our baby boy. The staff are always lovely to Cooper, he enjoys lots of cuddles from the staff & because of all that he is always happy to go to the vets which is great.
