Took Loki for his annual injection last night, he is very scared and hates being touched, we always muzzle him as he usually screams like he is being murdered but we have been taking him regularly to see the nurse to get him used to being there, this showed last night how it worked as he the vet touch him and he never screamed, the vet was so patient and really good with him, she was lovely and was not phased by him at all, he is a large Akaskin Malamute, as always the reception staff are always so nice. A huge thank you to the nurses who have helped him.

I was seen on time, and the receptionist was absolutely lovely. However, I was quite disappointed with the vet’s approach during my cat’s MOT check-up and vaccination appointment. My cat was understandably wriggly, which made it a bit tricky to listen to his heart. The vet then said (to my cat), “We won’t bother listening to your heart rate if it’s not important to you.” When I offered to hold him and said I felt it was important to complete the check, she replied, “Don’t worry, it doesn’t matter.” I was quite surprised by this response, especially as I was paying for a full health check, and this part of the service was skipped. It left me feeling like my concerns weren’t taken seriously, which was disappointing.
