I am extremely disappointed and appalled with the service I received at Medivet Liverpool Road. I brought in a stray cat that had been living in a local park for several weeks, possibly months. I had already explained over the phone that the cat did not have a microchip and appeared to be abandoned, but I was advised to bring her in anyway. When I arrived, the receptionist (a blonde woman wearing glasses, whose name I did not catch) was not welcoming. I was told that a nurse named Jodi would handle the case. Despite being told she has 10 years of experience, she did not take the cat out of the carrier to properly examine her. She scanned the cat for a microchip while the cat remained inside the carrier, unsurprisingly there was no chip, as I had already explained. I made it clear that the cat was stray or abandoned and that I had posted on social media to try to locate an owner, without success. I was then told that because the cat was friendly, I should simply release her back outside. When I raised concerns about the possibility of pregnancy, I was told that stray cats can have kittens outside. I was not offered any practical advice, guidance, or referrals to rescue organisations that could help. As someone trying to do the responsible thing for a vulnerable animal, I found this response dismissive and lacking compassion. Thankfully, I was able to find a rescue centre outside of London that agreed to take her in. It has since been confirmed that the cat is heavily pregnant, reinforcing my concerns that she needed proper care and support rather than being released back onto the streets. This experience left me feeling unsupported and deeply disappointed. I had expected more care, professionalism, and guidance from a veterinary practice.

The best Vets and amazing nurses. Always a joy and always smiles. The most helpful team. Dr Elle is incredible and Natalie at reception is the absolute best. A truly warm and helpful team.

Had a 9am appointment booked for 20th (Saturday), stood outside and it never opened. Had to then call around offices and Canonbury (who were lovely) then said Kensington should call to tell me the vets were ill. No one called/emailed/ notified. I paid for parking which in Islington is ridiculous. Sent an email yesterday after speaking to quite a rude receptionist (Natalie?) who I didn’t understand at first and so I said “is this Liverpool road” and she said “well that’s what I said.” Honestly - just really disappointing service all around. Happy to remove this review once/if I get a response to my email asking for the minimum my parking to be reimbursed.

Friendly staff, well informed and helpful. The vet, nurse and receptionist paid attention to my anxieties and my dog Danni is so much happier after his operation. I highly recommend this practice, and more importantly so does my dog Danni.

Really good vet clinic in Islington. We moved inside the area and started going to Zasman later on - I was pleased to see more reasonable prices compared to the precious place, but most importantly - fabulous level of care and professionalism. Staff really know your pet’s name and everyone feels like they care :)
