This is an amazing place. The care and love and attention they gave my cat was outstanding. They kept me calm too when I was worrying. No question was too silly and they spent time with me and took real pleasure in spending time with my cat. They really care and love the animals they see in my experience.

Been using Severn Vets with our new rescue dog and we are really happy with everything so far including the pet health plan. All the staff are great - I can’t remember everyone’s names but Becca, Holly and Rachel have all been great. All staff have put me and my dog at ease and have gone above and beyond to help us with everything we have needed, at quite stressful times! I also appreciate that they do book you in with a vet nurse when this is appropriate so you don’t always pay the higher price to see the vet when a vet nurse is qualified for the job at hand. Thank you all. 😌

It is difficult to write this sort of review and ensure that everything is accurately stated. What is accurate is that I am amazed and somewhat disgusted with the level of care / service my pet and I have received. This is not the first time Severn Vets in Henley in Arden have let themselves down. A few years ago I took my dog in with Drop Tail ; Swimmers Tail. He has been in a cold river and his tail muscles (I am not a vet 😊) went into spasm, meaning he could not lift his tail, google told me what it was! I went to the vet, suggesting this was the condition and suggesting anti inflammatories. The vet looked and examined my dog – NOT ONCE – did he touch his tail, checked his legs and his joints, and said he felt stiffness and proceeded to tell me I had what I wanted – i.e anti inflammatories and sent me away. That was then, this is now. Sick dog, lost over a kg in weight and was now down to 12kg. Off his food, had been getting progressively worse for a few weeks. Now he had diarrhoea and a little sickness, but was lethargic, perhaps due to lack of food. He had eaten a sheep bone, I suggested he may have hurt his teeth / cracked, or hurt gums. The vet examined, and suggested this may well be the case. Go away and see how he is. I did, he was no better, so we went again, this time I was told he needed teeth out at a cost of £850 as this MIGHT be the cause. I was asked if I wanted to go away and think about it – think I did, and I thought how are his teeth causing diarrhoea, so I went back and questioned this (currently costing me c.£200). I had read up on various conditions, including Colitis and Pancreatitis. After discussion with the vet, I left being told my dog had colitis – now did I just diagnose that myself I wondered? We left with gastrointestinal dog food, which took him over 24hrs to eat a tin, then he’d eat no more. The vet was supposed to call me back, apparently she did, from a withheld number and left no message – I have VM – I then asked if she was going to call me on the Friday – I went in at around 10 a.m. – before the bank holiday – she had a full consultation until 7pm, but I was on the list – no call came – in this day and age when you are charging so much, should you, within reason, work until your work is done?? So, to date still no contact from the vet, I have since found the vet that left henley 3yrs ago, now working at the ‘maybird’ . He was seen today. First thing – lets get bloods to see what is going on / exclude what we can. WHY oh WHY was this not done originally 16days ago when I first took him in rather than picking up on my though about his teeth – maybe this was a profitable route – who knows – perhaps that is a little sinical. All in all - not at all impressed.

We have recently moved to Henley and had to find ourselves a trusted vet in the area to deal with. Our dog is very frightened when visiting new vet practices and I can hands down say that the staff at Severn vets went all out to take care of our baby when she went in for her teeth to be cleaned. She came out happy as ever! I would give a lot more than 5* and highly recommend this practice to any customer…

Very caring treatment given to both me and my dog! They have listened to my concerns regarding Bailey’s health and developed an ongoing plan. Useful & timely reminders given and always explained what’s needed and why etc .

My friend is in hospital and I had to take his blind cat to a vets today. OMG the staff here are sooooo fantastic! So informative, so caring and genuinely one of the nicest environments to be in for what could be some of the most upsetting situations for people and their pets. This vets excels in customer service and comfort of the animals they take care of. Highly recommend... Well done severn vets, I've left your vets today so impressed and with a recovering cat after sucessful surgery. Happy 5*'s from me.
