We’ve had such a great experience with Westport Vets, and I just want to say a big thank-you to both the Drum Brae and South Queensferry teams for looking after our little rascal, Professor Genki II. We had no idea how she’d react to going to the vet, cats are unpredictable at the best of times, but everyone there was so gentle with her, she loved all the attention she was getting. I’ve spent years fostering and hand-rearing cats, and in that time I’ve dealt with a lot of different vets (mostly in Essex). Even with all that experience, I can honestly say Westport Vets stand out by miles. When Professor Genki II went in to be neutered, they took amazing care of her. We got updates, clear aftercare instructions, and they even called a few days later to check how she was doing. It’s rare to find a vet that goes above and beyond like that. Really grateful for everything they did for her, couldn’t recommend them more!

I want to say a big Thanks to Westport Vets for their support and dedication and sympathy for our recent loss of our family member Cat which was big part of our Life since he was born with his sister. Staff was very professional and supportive when we brought our deceased pet to them for cremation and even gave us time to say our Goodbyes to our pet while we were there which was very helpful and emotional same time. I want to say Thank you very much for sending this beautiful card with Handwritten Note we just received by post this morning and it was such lovely gesture from the Team at Westport we even teared up from this. Myself and wife we both very grateful for this support and gratitude we much appreciated it PS at the end of the video it’s Tux baby sister I’ll review this once we pick up our boy ashes and print paws Little things like these goes long way Once again THANK YOU Sincerely Kiisk Family

Sadly, we had to get Luna put to sleep on Saturday afternoon. Andrew and Gillian came over from South Queensferry to do it, they were very good and showed us tremendous kindness as they saw how upset we all were. Many thanks for all your care and kindness shown to Luna over her life, which she enjoyed to the full but was sadly cut so short due to illness. Highly recommend Westport Vets.

Having read some of the negative reviews and how they were dealt with, particularly the breed discriminatory focused one that was recently posted that I have decided to not register with this practice and instead register with another local, independent practice that also does it's its own 24/7 care (considerably cheaper too). Breed shaming is something you expect to be documented by a tasteless news article, not a veterinary professional. Your responses to negative feedback also leaves a lot to be desired? Might I suggest PR and management training. This has highlighted the importance of researching ALL reviews prior to registering with just any vet that claims to be compassionate and available 24/7.
