We have used Abbey Vets on Monmouth for over 5 years now for our 2 cats (1 now sadly departed) and our pooch. They have always been very friendly and supportive with our pet care. Bryn our retriever always love seeing Chris and Kate. The pet plan works well for us and we appreciate the reminder to maintain the regular treatments. Thank you to the Abbey Team Monmouth!

We have been using Abbey Vets for 9 years and have always been grateful for not only the routine appointments like this booster appointment but, also the times when our pets need their care, compassion and kindness. Thank you to Monmouth branch, for helping us provide the best life for our many pets!

Words cannot express how grateful I am to this practice and their staff from the moment you walk in right down to the incredible care we received especially that of one of the Vets - Rhiannon who is very empathetic and goes above and beyond to ensure the best care is given to your fur babies and with the best knowledge and advise to ensure your animal(s)receive a better quality of life and a longer one at that! With much appreciation Thank you Karen & ‘Star’ :)

Okay, breath. Let's go! Firstly, they antagonise. After repeatedly telling them that their prices are unacceptable (more of this later) they continue to push an agenda. Avoid. Secondly, one does not appreciate snobbish behaviour. Of which this practice has in abundance. I can't be bothered to get into it as it will waste my time. Doubly avoid. Thirdly, having been asked to pay £27 for a signature/prescription, then a further £60 for them to "examine" my best boi, even though he's in perfect health, and to compound these issues, another £60 for the medicine, I'd say they were taking the proverbial. SIDE NOTE: I managed to sort my dog for ....a drum roll please, £10! I suggest others do the same. It's daylight robbery and disgusting. What I don't like is repeatedly getting emails from them, a lack of understanding that not everyone is made of money, and the hoity-toity nature they deal with things. I do not wish to receive a copy-and-paste email from you regarding your services. No matter how formal it is, how carefully crafted. You don't listen and then send me something like an invoice for something I haven't received. Awful, awful. Don't let them fool you, if they cared about your pet they wouldn't be asking for exorbitant fees. It's a ruse. Don't fall for it and find somewhere better. The psychology here is quite impressive, they know people care about their pets, and jack up the prices. What are you going to do? My best advice, research a better place and don't be fooled. My dog deserves better.

Credit where credit is due. I have 2 dogs very strong poweful dogs, that I have always taken to Abbey Vets Monmouth, my boys may look intimidating, even though they are anything but that. All the staff from receptionists to practice Vets have always been brilliant with my 2 boys. They actually greet them each time and ensure that they are happy and relaxed, so much so, they get so excited to see them. Never worry taking them here. Thank you all again, it means the world to me and lucky to have such a caring practice on my doorstep.
