Overpriced!!! I do not tend to write reviews, but I have found Animal House Vet to be extremely unfair in how they go about their pricing. My dog has a life long condition which requires daily medication; AHV not only charge over 25% more for writing prescriptions than other vets, they were only willing to write it for 30 days worth of medication which would require me to pay £26 to them monthly for a simple piece of paper to get my dog meds! Other vets provide a prescription for the same meds for 6 months at a time! (only through a complaint to the Directors through one of the vets did I get a prescription for 3 months, but this is not standard practice). Additionally, when I have requested leaving their Pet Health Club, I have been charged £65.40 for only 3 months of Simparica.....this is an extortionate amount compared to the actual cost of the treatment payed by them. While I have to admit, the care of my dog by the actual vets was good and I do appreciate their work, the additional costs involved for receiving basic care is not worth it and it is more affordable elsewhere. Directors for AHV really need to stop making decisions regarding pricing that are making vet care for our loved ones no longer affordable!!

We've used Animal House Vets , since Skip was a puppy. He is 13 yrs old now. We managed to get a last minute appointment as we were concerned about Skip. The vet was lovely, very informative & reassuring. Each step of treatment was explained to us. We have/are happy with the service we received/ are receiving. Thank you

Animal House used to be fantastic, however the service has dropped off. The hours at Downend have been reduced and we've had to take our dog to Chipping Sodbury or Chalks Road for nurses appointments. Apparently they've been taken over by a nationwide Vets Group so are no longer the local vet they used to be. In discussions about over charging for medication, I was told they have no say in the matter as it is set at a group level.

I cannot recommend Animal House enough. Ffion Spilsbury has been nothing short of amazing in helping diagnose symptoms with our cat. Always follows up with calls and next steps, easy to communicate via email and you are never waiting long for a response. We have been to 3 or 4 veterinarians over the past couple of years and she by far has been the most knowledgeable and helpful. I recommend anyone with a cat to bring them here.

This is a retrospective review of the care the whole team provided to our dogs Roxy & Fangles when they were with us. Both of our dogs were registered with animal House since becoming our.s. 14 years. The service, care & attention to them & us was always kind & considerate & compassionate . One of our dogs Fangles had very special needs and had idiopathic epilepsy and required lots more intervention to make his life the best life in that time. Mark, Sarah, Izzy, the nursing and reception team were always honest, caring and professional throughout our bumpy road with Fangles, and equally with Roxy. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you everyone.
