Our 5 year old cat was unwell so we visited this vet who attempted to take blood from her neck. The attempted process was extremely traumatic for both our cat and ourselves. It was horrific to witness as the needle was thrust full length at right angles into her neck in an attempt to find the vein. There was obviously no chance of getting any blood at this angle, there was zero precision. The lack of compassion and expertise was shocking. Our cat was utterly traumatised and in great pain, she recoiled in pain ,instantly emptied her bladder onto the table and was bleeding from her neck. Even though there was no chance of withdrawing blood the vet withdrew the plunger (not needle) and obviously nothing was extracted. My wife is an ex Intensive care nurse and very familiar with taking blood so was appalled at the technique. We were so distressed on our cat's behalf that we left immediately, mid consultation, and managed to get an appointment with a Spilsby vet who successfully withdrew blood from her front leg with no further drama. Sadly our cat had to be put down 4 days later, after numerous investigations. I need to leave this review as I would hate any other pet or their owners to have to go through a similar experience. We had been on the waiting list for over 2 years when we eventually joined VOTC but were unaware of the new ownership (no mention on the website). Most of the reviews on the site are obviously from many years ago. There is no mention of the new vet anywhere on the website. Also we were unaware that an admin fee is charged for any insurance claim. All communication with the insurance company was ignored by the vet until this fee was paid (in our case £27.50 for a £50 consultation claim). The only vet or referral centres out of 4 we dealt with who charged a fee investigating her illness over the 4 days.

I went into vet on the corner not knowing what to do as another vet in the area had let us down. Grace and her team have gone above and beyond for our boy, I am so incredibly grateful for everything they've done

On holiday in the area we contacted Vet on the Corner after our greyhound broke a dew claw close to the base. The response from the reception staff and the vet was exemplary; so caring, considerate and professional, giving us an appointment at short notice. We are very grateful.

Our cat had been in an accident and we needed to see a vet ASAP and when I rang them up they told me I'd have to wait until I was registered there. I asked how long that would take and she said "I don't know when someone else's animal dies and we get an opening. But there's an 18 month waiting list..." I rang up another surgery in new York (Laird Ian P) and he saw him straight away he dropped everything he was doing and saw him. No registry, no issues just "when can you get him here!" ... I'm amazed that this vet can turn away a very badly injured cat ... when a vets job is to take care of injured animals. If I could give ZERO stars I would ...
