Staff were polite and knowledgable. Only gripe was that the front door slammed close most times, startling my bunnies ♡

A wonderful practice, everyone is very friendly and kind, and extremely knowledgeable. Put us new puppy parents at our ease when we had some fear and concern. Thank you!

I can't recommend Swan vets enough. Everyone has been so kind and welcoming and it is clear how much everyone really cares for the animals. They have always been available on the end of the phone giving us sensible and caring advice.

Absolutely awful place to take your pets. I do not trust them at all. I used them for convenience in 2011 as I lived in the flat above, then moved out of Aberdeen. Back in 2011 it was walk in service and what I liked was that there was no fee for check ups. I moved back to Aberdeen in 2023 so went back there for the same reason, but the walk in service had stopped since covid, which I accepted. I had various health concerns with my cats. My kitten suddenly started breathing rapidly and I was seriously thinking I was losing him. I phoned the vet at around 5pm. The receptionist told me that I can't be seen as there was no availability. When I reiterated that its an emergency she still said I can't be seen. I had to wait to call the "emergency" phone line which opened an hour and a half later!! Then my older cat went in for a meds check. I asked if she could weigh her. Vet said she already did but I never saw her do this. Vet said my cat was 6kg. This raises concern for me but the vet failed to mention her weight until I had asked, and she told me to feed her less food. She got a prescription for her medication at the higher dose according to her weight. I went to another vet to get a second opinion. She did not weigh 6kg!!!!! My cat was only 4.9kg!!! So not only did the vet get her weight wrong she gave me a wrong prescription which meant I would of been overdosing my cat on her meds!! Also, I was aware I was due a bill which I explained I would pay up which they agreed was okay. When I was requesting my prescriptions from them they would email them to me and there was no mention of a fee for this service. It was sprung upon me that they was adding these fees to my account without asking me. So now I have a hefty bill that in due them which could of been avoided. Because I have more money to pay them I will be in debt which I didn't want. Also, the last time I was there, there was a very sad case where a lovely lady was saying goodbye to her pet. The staff came out to tell us politely fir when the lady came out the room. However they didn't cover up the animal before the customer left the room. I thought that was very wrong and should of been covered. There was a young child in the waiting room and luckily never saw it! I wouldn't recommend this vets at all.

I’ve been using Swan vets for years and cannot recommend them highly enough. My cat has had quite a few health issues recently and they have been brilliant with him. I trust them and have always been charged a very reasonable price
