Our 16 months boy Rocco is gone we rushed him there when he suddenly became sick. The vet was nearly finished her shift so they gave him meds to apparently help him .We were given 2 syringes of meds that we were to administer .We had to rush Rocco to the animal hospital in Glasgow not even an hour of coming home from vets at home. Rocco could not stand his back legs were paralysed he was so distressed and in agony , he was only a baby . Rocco was put to sleep as he had became to unwell and was suffering. So I would never recommend these vets, I get it's a job to them but Rocco was our baby .2 vets £900 paid and only memory's left .

Been many times for appointments for my two cats. Really kind and helpful staff. The option to contact via whatsapp is really helpful too. Always easy to get an appointment on relatively short notice. Every Vet I’ve had has been so excellent. Particular shout out to Dr Melanie Harper who helped me most recently with my cat. Such genuine care and thoughtfulness and attention. Really happy and lucky to have such great vets looking after my babies.

They failed to diagnose my dog, and as a result, six hours after the visit and £170 less in my purse, my dog passed away. When I approached them for an explanation, one of the points I heard was that I approved their recommendation—as if I'm the one with the knowledge!?! So, I do not recommend them unless you only seek a prescription for worm medication.

Vet was brilliant with my dog but by god price for ear drops is expensive. Feel as if they take advantage of situation. Can get the same eardrops online at a 1/3 of the price. Noted should my dog get ear infection again.

I am really pleased to have found Vets for Pets in Dumbarton, it's such a weight off my mind to have an exotics vet who can look after our parrot close to home and my 4 year old westie was cared for so well during a recent ear infection. We've had a lot of vets over the past 4 years and it's such a relief to find one who understands out concerns around breed reactions to steroids and allergy medications, which can be incredibly toxic to westies, and doesn't judge us on our decision to feed raw. We've recently added 2 more westie puppies to the family and again our choices around Lepto4 were respected and they helped us ensure that the new additions got the Lepto2 injections. Giving 4 stars as this is by far the most expensive vet we've been registered at (and there has been a few), the markup on medications and prescription costs are high. But the peace of mind are worth it.
