Welcome to Friars Moor Veterinary Clinic! Nestled in the charming countryside of Dorset, England, our veterinary practice has been serving the local community and their furry companions for many years. Situated in the town of Sturminster Newton, our clinic is conveniently located and easily accessible. With ample parking and disabled access, our clinic provides a warm and welcoming environment for both you and your pets. We understand that visiting the vet may not be your furry friend’s favourite activity, but our team of veterinary professionals strives to make every visit as stress-free and comfortable as possible.

Our clinic is open six days a week, from Monday to Saturday, and our friendly team of veterinary surgeons and nurses are always on-hand to provide expert care and support to your pets. We are closed on Sundays to allow our hardworking team to recharge their batteries, so they can come back fully refreshed and ready to tackle the new week.

At Friars Moor Veterinary Clinic, our highly qualified veterinary surgeons have a vast range of experience and expertise in various areas of veterinary medicine. From avian and exotic species to small mammals, cats, dogs, wild and poultry, we’re trained to deal with whatever animal comes through our door. We have a skilled team of five veterinary surgeons, including our directors, Dr Daniel Hayes and Dr Claire Hutton, who lead by example in delivering excellent care and support to our clients.

Our veterinary team is complemented by our dedicated veterinary nurses, who provide expert care and support to your pets during treatment or after surgery. Our head nurse, Miss Lucy Jones, leads an experienced team of four other qualified veterinary nurses, who work together to ensure your pets get the best care possible. Our nursing team is always on hand to offer advice and guidance on your pet’s health and wellbeing, whether it’s a routine check-up or a post-operative consultation.

Our facilities include modern and well-equipped surgery rooms, waiting areas and a retail shop where you can browse for toys, treats, and accessories for your pets. Our clinic operates an appointment system, and we encourage our clients to call or email to book an appointment in advance. However, we also accept walk-ins in case of emergencies or last-minute consultations.
