The resident vet is clear in his communication, thorough and so caring. We’ve had two surgeries so far and both went really well. I trust Grant with my precious dog and haven’t felt this comfortable or safe with any other vet we’ve seen.

HAVE TRANSFERRED MY DOG AND WILL NEVER ATTEND AGAIN AFTER 8 years since they became Medivets. Very disappointed with the service at Medivet Hampstead. They refused to accept a legitimate prescription from our regular vet in Colchester for my sick dog and insisted that the only way they would help was if we booked and paid for a consultation with them and purchased the medication directly through their practice. When your pet is unwell, the priority should be getting them the treatment they need—not creating unnecessary appointments and costs. It felt very much like a money-making tactic rather than any genuine concern for the welfare of the animal. In contrast, Village Vet were happy to have the prescription sent from our vet and treat it as an emergency, focusing on getting my dog the medication he needed without unnecessary barriers. A very disappointing experience that left a clear impression that profit was being prioritised over patient care. I would not recommend.

Saw the vet, her name was Emma, she gives nothing but bad vibes and evil eye. Really don't like the energy she was giving off and if I ever go back here, it definitely wouldn't be to see her. Thank god I left when I did.

Absolutely brilliant at this Medivet. The vet was so kind and knowledgable and very caring and gentle with Mousey my dog. He took the time to listen and really helped with brilliant advice. Highly recommend!

We are heartbroken by our recent experience at Medivet Vet in Hampstead. Our cat was unwell, so we brought her in for an examination. We were told she had constipation, was given medication and a painkiller, and advised to return the next day if she didn’t improve. Unfortunately, she didn’t get better overnight, so we brought her back. By then, she was breathing very fast. She was taken away for oxygen and CPR. We were told she would be given something to calm her down and that we’d need to take her to the Handon hospital. Around 20 minutes later, a nurse came back upstairs and told us our cat had suffered a heart attack and died. We brought our cat in alive, and we left without her. It was deeply traumatic and incredibly upsetting. What makes this even worse is that we were charged a large amount for the treatment without any clear discussion or consent beforehand. At no point were we informed about the costs or given options — just a bill after our cat had passed away. We feel that the communication, urgency, and care were lacking, and the way the situation was handled — especially around the financial side — felt more like a business transaction than compassionate veterinary care. We would not recommend this clinic to others. This experience has left us with not only grief, but a deep sense of anger and disappointment.☹️😔🥲😟

Dr Grant was very professional and seemed to truly care about my kitten. He gave really good advice and booked a follow up consultation. The healthcare plan is very affordable, didn’t expect that. The 2 ladies at the reception are also very kind and helpful and a great first point of contact. Definitely a great place to take care of your pets!

My cat Lila has a major accident and her back legs not moving... I was in total panic attack. Grant was fantastic!! He is very caring giving some very good advice. Sherry his assistant and his team are all brilliant! She went extra miles to help me sort out my insurance arrangement. Honestly, very hard to find this kind of ethical high standard veterinarian professionals nowadays. I have been through a lot of pain with many money driven Vets. Grant and his team is excellent! I will give them 10 stars.
