Have to say, I am bitterly disappointed with this vet. We attended for emergency pyometria surgery and were quoted £3000. Practices in the area charge £750 for the same surgery. Unfortunately, due to this initial quote we took a different course of treatment at great expense when we would have opted for surgery immediately elsewhere. The vets themselves were lovely but the Practice is geared up around money/ not transparent.

Compassionate and understanding, we really appreciated the professional informative support and honest kindness provided by all members of staff when our beloved dog took ill over Christmas, I would highly recommend Swayne & partners for their excellent care.

Horrendous Would never use again. My dog was having seizures I phoned 9am on a Sunday morning was told they would call me back within 10 minutes and had no response all day. I called again at 9:30 pm as was worried and was told because it would be after 10pm we would arrive it would be a £300 charge instead of £200 charge. They then missed the seizures which he was only there for to be monitored for and I was told he had an ear infection but they offered me ear wash and no antibiotics. The day I collected a time was arranged to collect him and yet I was sat in the waiting room for over 1 hour to collect my dog it took for one of the other clients to get up and say how disgusting it was to leave me sat there for that amount of time I then get a phone call a year later to say I owe £200 for a time stated on invoice which he was not there for! Very disappointing and would never recommend to anyone

A nice vet but constantly back and forth to get emails, receipts and prescriptions sent to me. A convenient location that’s open when needed. Some reception staff are lovely and friendly but some wouldn’t know a smile if they fell on it. Vet team are very friendly and supportive. A few mixed answers between the vet team about support for my animal but still a nice team.

Now I can't review them on general service as we used them for emergency out of hours service as our little local Swayne and partners was closed on Sunday. I thought getting through and getting an emergency appointment was brilliant. Then I turned up there with our dog and was greeted by the most lovely reception staff and vet. Total thought and care whilst keeping the situation calm and on track. I was so surprised at the service and building it was like a full human hospital for pets. Fantastic service and dog got through well! 👍

Really nice staff. Thank you so much for all the support you gave to my kitten. It's a place where they really love the animals and not just for the money. Thank you I will recommend you guys to everyone.

Cannot thank & recommend Swayne's in Bury enough for all of their care when my cat, Jerry, was brought in after a suspected car accident. I was notified that somebody had brought him in very promptly after he was dropped off, and whilst Jerry was an inpatient I was notified regularly on how he was, I was told how much love and fuss he was receiving from those who helped - so, around 2 phone calls a day. One of my concerns was the final cost of the bill - because I didn't have an insurance policy. Unfortunately payment plans aren't done here, but the vets were helpful in letting me know where the bill was at so that I was able to let family know who were able to help out since they know how much Jerry means to me. When I was finally able to go and collect him, the lady who brought him out to me was amazing. Went through all the care instructions with me and they were printed out on some paper so I wouldn't forget. The surgery itself is very clean, a nice large waiting area. The staff are absolutely lovely, caring and compassionate. I cannot thank them enough. (Here's a picture of my boy, he's still not happy about being on cage rest, but hopefully it won't be too much longer!)
