Fabulous customer service from start to finish. The lovely lady vet was so good with my boy Ted, and gave me some great advice

It is worth mentioning that we attended The Minster Veterinary Practice, Haxby for the same full examination and were not charged anything at all. As you are aware, this practice is very well equipped and has several branches precisely because of the fairness they show towards their clients. You stated that 40 minutes were spent during the consultation. Do you genuinely believe that spending 40 minutes examining a 3-month-old kitten is reasonable? Were you examining an elephant? Am I expected to pay for the slowness and incompetence or inefficiency of your vet as well? Two vaccinations priced at £19.99 each, along with a tablet that costs £7 and is available in any supermarket, do not reasonably add up to a total of £128.50. Even toothpaste that costs £6 at Pet4Homes is sold by your practice for £16. If you continue operating in this way, you will soon lose all of your clients—and I will not hesitate to contribute to that outcome. We do not require Echo’s medical records, as the new veterinary practice we attended does not engage in unnecessary administrative formalities to justify or disguise unfair practices. In fact, I now believe there is no need for me to attend any other veterinary practice, as I had assumed it was normal for a receptionist to schedule appointments for me every three weeks without request—clearly, this is not standard practice. Your practice also places clients under considerable pressure. Your receptionist refused to register Echo until my husband returned home that evening and then persistently insisted on enrolling Echo in your so-called cat club. There was repeated follow-up and pressure for additional costs, despite my husband clearly stating that we had no need whatsoeverfor your club. I do not need this money. I consider it a charitable donation, and perhaps it would be better distributed among you and any staff members who may be in need. Although I have no desire to receive any further emails from you, I do find it very interesting that the word “registration” was repeatedly used by your receptionist, despite your claim that you do not register clients and do not charge for registration. I have the financial means to take this matter to court—I simply do not have time.

I visited this veterinary clinic for my cat’s 16-week vaccination. In addition to the vaccination fee, I was required to pay an extra £100 for what was described as “registration.” I was told this payment was mandatory. There was also strong pressure to make me join a cat club membership, which I declined. I was not given a clear or satisfactory explanation of what the £100 registration fee was for or what services it covered. From my perspective, this charge is rip off. I have used other veterinary clinics, and none of them required such a registration fee; this appears to be unique to this practice. Because of this experience, I chose not to return to this clinic.

Outstanding care from vet Hannah, and staff at both Stamford Bridge and Strensall branches for my cockatiel who is a chronic egg layer, would not use anyone else. Exceptional.

Shocking vets. Apart from the odd vet they only care about charging you the most they possibly can, not interested in your beloved pet. We were stung for thousands, lots of tests and still given the wrong diagnosis. Our beautiful boys died of lymphoma aged 7, not a fatty lump what they said it was. We found he had cancer when we decided to pay for a CT scan at swifts for a second opinion. There was no way we were taking our dog back to battle Flatt's to be put to sleep and cremated, we wasn't giving them a penny more. The greed and incompetence and lack of human sympathy of this vets has caused me and my family a great deal of heartache.

Excellent customer service on multiple occasions. Hannah (one of the vets) took amazing care of me earlier in the week when saying goodbye to our bunny. Couldn't have asked for a more compassionate and caring person. Thank you x

An awful practice. Incompetent staff who fail to do the one job they're employed for, they have taken our healthy pet away from us who went in for a regular check up and due to their lack of care, incompetence and handling, our pet is now dead. We watched our pet suffer in front of our eyes due to their awful handling which was traumatizing. We went in with a healthy pet and came out with no pet. We are heartbroken, we will never forget our pet, we will never forget what you have done, we will never forgive you for what you have done.
