We are so grateful to Pierpaolo and all the team at Vets 4 Pets Wheatley. The professionalism and compassion shown by everyone at the practice in the treatment of Ivy our 18 year old cat has been exemplary. We can now look forward to a few more years with her. Thank you all

Our Westie Winston had both his Cruciate ligaments repaired one year apart, thankfully he recovered well & was up & running in no time thanks to the team at Vets for Pets. They have looked after his needs for over 10 years now & we’ve always found them friendly & caring.

Good care from the vets but appointments are often running 30 minutes behind with no warning or apology from reception. No one in the waiting room seems to be being seen during these waits which makes it more frustrating. I dare say a small comment from reception staff updating us when to expect the appointment to actually happen would go a long way.

My dog suffers with arthritis and other issues with his legs. We had previously gone to barnsley vets4pets as they are SO much better with him and really care for the animals. However, this is a 40 minute drive and all we need for my dog is one jab and done. My dog gets very anxious in the car and is really nervous so instead we booked an appointment for Vets4pets doncaster which is only a 10 minute drive away. I asked for a FEMALE vet because my dog gets really anxious and terrified around men (I have no idea why this is, I’ve had him since we were a pup) The vets said the soonest appointment with a female was a week later. So for a week my dog was limping and when we got there for his appointment, a MALE vet called us. We asked about this, and apparently the female vet had finished even though my dog was put through unnecessary extra pain to get this appointment to reduce his stress. During the consultation with the male vet, he constantly brought up about surgery even though we have explained Surgey for my dog isn’t an option as he is old and these jabs seem to be working amazingly for his arthritis. However, he continued to repeat about different surgeries and the costs. All they care about is money and not the animals!! We’ve had previous situations like this in Doncaster where they was that scared of my dog they stayed behind the door as he was coming from his anaesthesia, looking at him through a window. Completely unprofessional.

I’ve been a client at Vets for Pets for over a year and a half, and until now my experiences have generally been fine. Unfortunately, today I had a very unpleasant interaction with one particular receptionist whose attitude was extremely rude and dismissive. Customer service at the front desk is the first impression of any clinic, and sadly this interaction was shocking. The receptionist spoke in a very unprofessional and unfriendly manner, showed no willingness to help, and made the whole experience uncomfortable. As a loyal client who has trusted this clinic I’ve been a client at Vets for Pets for over a year and a half, but after today’s experience I’m seriously considering changing my vet. I arrived about 10 minutes late to my appointment due to traffic—something that can happen to anyone. Instead of any understanding or basic courtesy, the receptionist I spoke to had an incredibly rude and dismissive attitude. The way she spoke was unprofessional and made it feel like I was being told off rather than helped. I fully understand clinics have schedules to keep, but there is a way to speak to people with respect. I’ve never encountered such poor customer service here before, and it’s disappointing that one person at reception can make a loyal client feel so unwelcome. After more than a year of bringing my pet here, it’s honestly shocking that a simple situation like being 10 minutes late because of traffic was handled with such hostility. Experiences like this are exactly what make clients consider taking their pets elsewhere.
