I can’t put into words how grateful we are to West Ridge vets, Winkleigh, who were so kind and compassionate when our beloved Labrador, Coco, became poorly and had to be put to sleep whilst on holiday at the end of October. It was an absolutely harrowing time but the vet, Claire Brooks and nurse Magda were just unbelievable. They did everything they could and were calm, professional and caring, despite us never having met before that terrible morning. As we cut our holiday short and returned home early, West Ridge ensured the smooth delivery of Coco’s ashes to our local vets and sent us a beautiful card with some flower seeds, Coco’s paw prints and some of her fur. The care and thoughtfulness they showed us, strangers from miles away having one of the worst days of our lives, was something we’ll never forget. Thank you so much. Tracey and Billy Poole x

Such a great veterinary practice!! We saw Dr Marcella a few times with our chickens and we are so grateful to be able to bring our hens for her expert advice- definitely worth the 2 hours round trip!! Marcella is such a kind, caring and professional vet and the wellbeing of our hens is her top priority. The reception team at West Ridge Winkliegh are absolutely amazing and do their very best to help. A special mention to Zoe who has been a star sorting appointment, prescriptions etc very quickly and efficiently. Highly recommended- especially if you are looking for an expert chicken vet!!

Amazing! Brought our doggo Delilah in, who is very nervous in new environments, and Ohlele was amazing with her. Everyone’s effort in making Delilah feel welcome is really appreciated and we felt very confident Delilah was in good hands during our consultation today. Norm, a hazel dormouse was very happy with the care he received from West Ridge recently. As a rather unusual patient, this was a challenge but Marcella provided wonderful care and amazing surgery on such a tiny animal. He has made a full recovery as a result of the outstanding care he received at West Ridge and will soon be released back into the wild. A wonderful success story and we could not have done it without West Ridge.

Fantastic vets who looked after our beautiful cat in his last days. Always in contact. Incredibly caring, couldn't of done more., Always in touch. Took our two cats for vaccinations. I was as worried/scared as the cats. Handled them both with such care and kindness,+cats behaved for them, drew blood from me😽. Were running late due to emergency and offered to rebook straight away. We were fine as my train of thought is "what if that was my cats emergency". Just shows how they look after our pets so well. Wouldn't want to see or use any other vet. Complimented cats teeth ,(I have the scars)😹😹. So grateful to this practice not just for our newest cats treatment but knowing the heartbreak of a cat entering palliative care and the kindness+patience of all the staff.
