Ambleside vets have looked after my lovely dog for 16 years. I am so sad she is no longer with us but wanted to say Ambleside have been really great. They have the nothing like these horrible money grabbing vets who pretend to care and don't at all.

I’ve been using this vet for over 30 years, starting with the care of an elderly cat. They've always been compassionate, honest, and focused on what's best for the pet. Even after moving away and trying a closer vet, I returned because I felt the other clinic pushed unnecessary treatments. When I came back, the vet quickly diagnosed my cat with a simple issue that was resolved in days—after we'd spent a lot on tests at the other vet. I've stayed ever since because of their genuine care, clear communication, and thoughtful approach.

We cant fault the team at Ambleside in any way at all. They have looked after Penny for a while now and they've been the only vet, where she has been even remotely calm. Peggy was always fantastic with her and had given her her arthritis injection before she'd even noticed. Recently it was found thst she had acute kidney failure, and they were amazing. They allowed all of us to be in the room with her while they assisted her over the rainbow bridge. They allowed us to stay with her afterwards until we felt able to leave, and they arranged for her to be collected by Dignity, who then took over. But the kindness of the Ambleside team really did help us to say our goodbyes to our beautiful queen. Thankyou all.for your kindness at a very difficult time for us. She gave us 22 years of love. We loved her for her whole life, she wil be missed for all of ours

I am delighted to have moved to this practice for my two cats just over one year ago. The staff are lovely and demonstrate their genuine interest in and concern for my pets, one of whom recently needed surgery and the other is about to have dental work. They show that understand how important it is for my well-being to know my cats have good health care. They have been wonderful.

Ambleside have been very supportive as we've been settling in our new rescue dog. We've called up twice with concerns and on both occasions we were seen that same day. Our dog quickly seemed at ease in the clinic and with Peggy, who gave us lots of helpful advice including follow up emails. We couldn't be happier with the care we've received and we're so pleased we chose this trustworthy, independent veterinary practice.

All the staff here are amazing. So caring and considerate. I have always got an appointment when I have needed it and most of the time within the same day. Peggy the vet is so lovely and kind. She explains everything in detail and will always give you the best options for your pets. They are honest and reliable. Peggy and her team treat My cats as if they were their own (and my cats love going there) and I am so glad my cats are in such good hands.
