Dr Catherine Thomas at Suffolk Exotic Vets handles emergency cases for exotic animals.

Went here for a pre neuter check for our rabbit after we were recommended this specific vets for our gecko and rabbits. Staff were lovely and welcoming and the vet was brilliant with our rabbit. Found out our boy rabbit was actually a girl! Vet was very informative and helpful

Most amazing vets I've ever used. I brought my chinchilla in for an emergency and my vet, Lucy, was so caring and so knowledgeable and thoughtful. The whole interaction was everything I could have wanted and I had total trust in her and the team. The receptionists are really helpful and lovely too. I did unfortunately lose my chinchillla but they did everything possible and handled it incredibly well. Very sensitive and thoughtful. I wish it wasn't such a drive from my home because I'd love to sign my cats up here too, they're absolutely miles better than the local vet I normally have to use. Can't recommend this place enough

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We have known Iain for the last 13 years, ever since he worked in two other practices before opening his own here in Newmarket. Over the years, we have followed him from place to place with our bunnies and dogs because we completely trust the care he provides. Iain and his team are not only extremely passionate about the work they do, but also offer incredible support to owners—especially during difficult times. Their dedication, knowledge, and compassion shine through in everything they do. Five stars simply aren’t enough, but sadly that’s the most we can give. Vets4Pets Newmarket truly deserves even more.

Nellie, one of our Degus was looking very under the weather and we were very worried about him. I phoned up for advice and within two hours Nellie was booked in for check up. Nellie was seen by Iain Cope, the principal veterinary surgeon. Iain was very impressive and gave Nellie a complete examination. Iain quickly identified that it was Nellie's teeth that were causing the problem. A treatment programme was then arranged and the necessary medication dispensed. Within a few days Nellie was fully fit and back to his usual self. Nellie and his family would like to say a big thank you to Iain and to the nice lady at reception.

Vets for Pets in Newmarket is absolutely fantastic! From the moment you walk in, you can tell how much they genuinely care about animals. The staff are all incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and compassionate. They take the time to explain everything clearly and answer any questions you have. Our pets always receive top-notch care, and we have complete trust in their expertise. Highly recommend!
