Excellent accommodation for a reactive nervous dog. Let me wait in my car until the he was due to go in to be seen. Receptionists were lovely and nice too. 10/10 Thank you from me and Jack!

If you would like a “sick” pet, use this veterinary practice. We came here with our new puppy for her first injections. We were told £85 on the phone for first 2 rounds given 4 weeks apart. Great! We came for our first appointment, expecting a friendly chat, the injections and then heading home. Before the injections had even been administered, the vet decided he was very concerned our puppy has Hip Dysplasia. And that the next responsible step was having a sedated x-ray taken, and a referral to a specialist, after which a major surgery can be performed where they break and reposition the hips… he did a 20 seconds check on her, pushing her hips and joints. Bearing in mind our puppy is expected to grow very large and tall, she is super leggy at this young age. When we got home we started looking into this, and very quickly established that no vet could tell simply from looking at a puppy of 9 weeks old that they had hip dysplasia, or have any significant concern (our puppy had no symptoms of HD). It develops with age, and its likely hood of developing can be reduced with monitoring exercise and having a lean body composition. The vet did not mention either of these preventative measures. His solution was rinsing us of potentially £20,000+ to pay for this surgery where they break the puppies hips and all other appointments that come with it. Not only this, but after our maximum 10 mins in the vets room getting the injections done, we were charged more than the £85 quoted when booking over the phone. Then we spent another 20 minutes at reception being hounded by their “receptionist” (simply a disgustingly pushy salesperson) and the vet, to sign up for their pet care plan. These vultures prey on owners who love their pets. They will convince you your pet is sick with no evidence to put them through unnecessary suffering so that they can make more money. They will find some way to rinse you. We felt incredibly uncomfortable and do not have any feelings of trust towards this practice. Please do not take anything they say seriously, their absolute top priority is MONEY MONEY MONEY! Stay well clear for your pets healths sake, and your wallet! Do not ignore the other negative reviews!

I do not recommend this place. They asked me to send the full medical documentation, including all test results, but they didn’t even bother to look at them. Instead, they wanted to perform more tests for a very high amount of money. These people don’t care about helping the animal, only about taking as much money as possible. You should lose your right to practice this profession. Hopefully, the law will soon change, and you’ll finally have to follow proper ethical standards

I was extremely pleased with how the vet and staff at Lida vets treated my old choc lab Toby. They were extremely kind to him and also very gentle and kind to Finlay when they put him to sleep in the summer. Thankyou so much and I would thoroughly recommend Lida vets.

We’ve had both our pets into Lida in the last week. Sadly our oldest had a downturn very quickly and we had to put him to sleep. However, from the first appt in office to 5 days later the in home visit from the Vet to put him to sleep, everyone was kind, gracious, concerned and understanding. They handled every step with care and concern. Our younger pup has been sad, stressed and had her ‘cough’ flare up with all that was happening. So 2nd visit put our concerns at rest and still treated every step with kindness and concern, not just for our fur babies, but for us as well. I simply can’t express how appreciative we’ve been of everyone on their staff.
