Welcome to Birch Veterinary Centre, a friendly and caring veterinary practice based in Wirral, Merseyside. The practice is dedicated to providing high-quality and compassionate care for all pets, including birds, cats, dogs, exotic animals, wild animals, and small mammals.

Birch Veterinary Centre is proudly staffed by some of the most highly qualified and experienced veterinary professionals in the area. Our veterinary surgeons are Mr Thomas Shepherd (Director), Miss Eliza Hajdas, Mr Ion Morosanu, Dr Jennifer Stoddart, and Ms Pelagia Vakali. They have all been handpicked for their expertise and their passion for animal welfare. Our veterinary nurses are equally impressive, led by Mrs Vivien Smith (Head Nurse), and supported by Miss Leanne Ellis, Miss Valerie Joughin, and Miss Jemima Riley. They are all fully qualified and registered nurses who are dedicated to providing the best possible care for our patients.

At Birch Veterinary Centre, we understand that every pet is unique, and their needs require personalised attention and tailored treatment plans. Our team of veterinary professionals provides a comprehensive range of services, from preventative medicine, vaccinations, and microchipping to complex surgical procedures, diagnostic imaging, and laboratory testing. Birch Veterinary Centre is open Monday to Friday from 8:45am to 5:30pm, and we are conveniently closed on Saturdays and Sundays to allow our veterinary staff to receive a well-earned rest. We offer flexible appointment times, and we endeavour to provide immediate care for emergency cases.

Our facilities are modern and well-equipped, with a fully-functional operating theatre, state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging equipment, and top-class laboratory equipment. We aim to make each visit to our practice a comfortable and stress-free experience for both pets and their owners.
