Absolutely fabulous veterinary surgery. We took our cat in an emergency and they saw him straight away. Calm, considerate, kind, patient and really listened to us.

Really shocking… my daughter had a poorly puppy that cost us a lot in vets bills and wasn’t treated where she was able to be alive. My poor 16 year old daughter got a phone call the next month saying she needs to book her puppy in for injections when she is dead. We phoned the practice asking them to change the phone number on the account and not phone her again. To our absolute horror they phoned her the next month and left a voicemail that she received just before going into an English GCSE exam to say that her puppy was due vaccinations. Each time they called or left voicemails they used our puppies name. So much distress that we didn’t need to have when we were trying to heal. Please if you read reviews be more mindful and considerate of people’s loses

My dog had a CT scan here today and the staff were very patient with me calling and checking up on twice. When i picked him up, our transport back to Norwich fell through and the receptionist and vet nurse were so lovely, helping me ring round taxi services and offering water and a blanket while we waited for pick-up. They absolutely went above and beyond. Thank you very much.

You always hear that Three Rivers is just about money! After they had got roughly £4.5k out of us, we had one concern... Not a complaint! After one of our follow up apps our dog wasn't given a proper examination. She's had a tumour removed, then 2 dental operations over the last few months. After her last operation, we were told that she would have quite bad breath whilst she was healing which is normal but the smell was so bad, we didn't want to pull her about to look as her gums as they kept bleeding so we waited for her app. My partner whilst I was at work, when he returned he said it was odd that the vet (who we don't normally see) only was bothered about her mammary strip from her tumour removed and only checked the front teeth, when he tried to explain about the back teeth on the left side she just ignored him. So I decided to open her mouth at home, the smell was horrendous and the whole back of her mouth on the left side was infected. We called up and managed to get an app the next day seeing a different member of staff, who at the time did state that this shouldn't have been missed & prescribed antibiotics. We should of known something was wrong as she had been so lethargic & out of character but thought this is her 3rd op in a few months and we were told she didn't come round from the anaesthetic amazingly so just assumed this was normal. The next week we had another follow up appointment with the same vet we saw the week before. Something must have been mentioned to her as the first thing she said was that infections can happen over night and her manner towards us wasn't apologetic at all. But being a dog groomer & previously worked in medical care I know infections like hers don't happen overnight. We decided to call and change her next follow up appointment to a different vet & my partner only mentioned on the phone that we weren't happy & it shouldn't have been missed initially. This wasn't to receive any compensation, just some constructive criticism to prevent this happening in the future as our dog was ok after the antibiotics but if we hadn't of checked her mouth & left it to the following week, she could of ended up really ill. We then received an email saying they got our complaint, and that the vets we'd seen both didn't agree they said anything or did anything wrong & we were prescribed antibiotics at the initial appointment. We weren't so unless this had been added to the system after to cover their tracks, who knows. But we were basically told we're liars. Even after seeing the videos and pictures we got the night after her initial appointment. We saw two other vets since then, who agreed we weren't in the wrong and it should of been spotted. And our final email from the clinical director basically told us to seek medical attention from elsewhere. You'd hope a big practise like them would be able to take constructive criticism and after the amount of money they've gotten from us. It's just really poor of the practise and the vet not to take on board what we said initially, as we weren't angry we just wanted them to have feedback but then how we were treated & spoken to without an apology, we already decided to move to Pakefield Vets who you only ever hear good reviews about. We had been with Three Rivers since owning our dog, never had an issue till now & I've had family members have their dogs here for the last 10-15years but they've also moved their dogs for their own valid reasons like being prescribed antibiotics when their dog was dying & being given heart medication for years which afterwards was told he shouldn't off been on it longer than a year. I've also heard horror stories from customers about their experiences so we should of moved a long time ago. Please go to an independent vets! Or at least request to see the same vet at every appointment, Tom & Jude were outstanding with our dog so see them if need be, we couldn't fault them at all for looking after our dog the last few months, so thank you for that!

We cannot praise the staff, vet and nurses enough at Beccles. We were on holiday in the area in our motorhome when our 12 year old Doberman became very ill and sadly we had to have her put to sleep. They very caring and understanding as we were only in the area for a few days. They arranged an urgent cremation and we were able to collect her ashes before we left Beccles so that she could continue our holiday with us. Thank you once again.
