I can't thank Pennine vets enough for how kind and caring they have been. The staff who work here are who make this such a good practice. I made the heartbreaking decision to have my pet put to sleep here- and I am so grateful for how patient and empathetic they have been with me.

Sadly had to have one of my bunnies put to sleep here, over the weekend. All the staff here were lovely, and made the whole experience about as nice as it realistically could be. Thank you :)

Many thanks to All the staff at Harwood vets today Tuesday 5th August. Evy in spite of being “sedated” her strength gave them all a “ good work out” She met her match and today it was Harwood Pennine Vets 1 Evy 0 We can’t thank you enough for showing patience & finally clipping her Dew Claw. She’s now at home shattered and looking content. We won’t tell her “ mum” how many treats it took, but she deserved them. Thank you Mary & Richard

**edited review** My previous review of Pennine is below, which I still stand by however, I cannot thank them enough for the treatment they have given my dog in an emergency. Therefore I have changed the rating of my review. Faye in particular is an absolutely outstanding vet who cares so much for the animals in her care. She is absolutely fantastic and we can’t thank you enough for helping our girl. My family have always taken our pets to Pennine so when i got my dog, this seemed like the best option..... The first big issue occurred when we booked our dog into be spayed. We paid the deposits etc, booked the day off work and adhered to the fasting that was required prior to the operation. On the morning of the operation we arrived at the vets and was told that the operation would not go ahead as she had put on weight. There was no pre op done and had this happened, our time wouldn't have been wasted. Our dog has to have regular medication and due to this has an annual review prior to it being dispensed is required, which we are absolutely fine with. I called last week to order her prescription and arrived at the vets 48 hours after to collect it to be advised that i should have been contacted over the weekend to book in the review. Baring in mind, we have since moved from Harwood to Blackburn so the vets isn't really round the corner anymore. I booked in the review whilst i was at the vets. Later that evening i had a text to call the vets, it turns out i had been booked into Tottington and not Harwood. So i changed the appointment to another time but at the Harwood practice. The following day i received another phone call and voicemail to advise me to call in. Again the appointment needed to be changed as the vet was no longer available. Due to the messing about we have decided to look at moving to a different vets. Its a shame as the vets themselves are very good and knowledgeable but to be messed about like we have just isn't acceptable anymore.
