Amazing service, saw my cat urgently over the weekend, triaged him, removed his blockage and had him back home with me the same day. Excellent communication, cannot thank Jenny enough as she kept the costs down as I do not have insurance and this could have been a very expensive bill. She called me during his procedure to give me options and what was best for my cat. Overall very happy with the service received by all the team members from reception, nurses and vets thank you so much!

Been coming to this practice from Trowbridge for last few months after poor experiences with a couple of different vets practices in Trowbridge. Staff have always been friendly and advice and guidance from Dr Frederica has been great. Nala's signed up to their health plan which makes it more cost effective as she's a senior GSD now so will likely be a reasonable regular visitor.

I feel compelled to share this, with a complaint to follow to the practice but I’m left speechless after the weekends appointment for my dog! Booked in to assess behavioural changes, a good friend of mine said to assume pain unless proven otherwise. So I booked him an appointment under that pretence and saw a vet I’d never seen before (Usually the case, I’m yet to see the same one & we’ve been here for 3+ years!) The vet said she’d take him out the back to muzzle him & assess him, just for her own safety (He wasn’t showing signs of aggression, but I understand) she then reappeared 10 minutes later, saying he’s quite tense and she believes he has osteoarthritis in his back (He doesn’t, he just doesn’t like that area touched- never has) but she had given him some pain relief and some anti-inflammatory which should help with his anxiety too. She also gave me tablets. Then she wanted to cautiously bring him through on the pretence he isn’t ok with other dogs. No problem. When I got in the car, he was acting strange. By the time we’d pulled up home, I had to carry him to his bed. He couldn’t move to the point I called up the vet and asked what exactly it was he had been given, and should he be completely paralysed. I was told she gave him moderate pain relief (Used for post-op, to note!) because she could tell he was in pain, just couldn’t diagnose where. I said how did she know he was in pain, apparently reflexes, but she still couldn’t diagnose where? From there, I asked how she thought temporarily sedating my dog was going to help us assess if him being given pain relief was helping his behaviour change. He was zombified for hours! She said I refused bloods, after she had told me that she didn’t have time, and then said a completely different series of events when I asked her why she didn’t come back and discuss injecting him with sedating drugs before doing so, she said she did but I can categorically note, she did not. They will have this on their CCTV too! She then hung up! This vets pull in other vets continuously, and they will all do such different things it’s so hard to get continuity of care! My dog had fatty lumps, she’s 11, we were told to operate asap as they were likely cancerous and by her mammory gland. I got a second opinion to be told there was absolutely no way they were cancerous, and nowhere near her mam! I’ll never return here after this final straw!

I can't thank Beeches enough! They've come to the rescue for my cats at the last minute on two occasions. Their kindness and willingness to accommodate is truly appreciated.

Sorry, I had found this vets and all the staff friendly & helpful ( been with them just over a year) until today. Had a health check booked in for my Spanish rescue.. , he has been in the UK for almost 6 years. I was told today they would not treat him unless he had a blood test and it was negative ( for Brucella Canis) Spain is not a high risk country, this is just about the money.. I do not appreciate the way it was communicated.. if so serious ( was noticed 2 years ago) why not at least let me know your intention in advance. I do not recommend

We had three cats for 16 years. They always went to Beeches. They have always been very helpful and flexible to give our cats the best care. When my cats unfortunately had to be put down due to health issues they made it as painless as possible and now offer free service to get paw and nose prints which are such a cute.

The vet I saw was nice (hattie) however, I have issues and cannot afford any more treatment for my beloved guinea pig and no one will help me and the treatment didn't work and was misdiagnosed anyway so I am very unhappy now with the service and how can vets say they love animals etc when they would let one suffer or even die for a price? Perhaps its the government's fault but that's not really poor customers problems when they love their pets and they've paid loads already and can't genuinely afford more because they have no money or friends or family who have money and you are saying rich people shoild only have pets 🤔but doesn't mean they look after them or love them anymore or even treat them any better . Very upset at this service and the system as a whole
