We took our poorly cat to a vets in colne 3 weeks ago. We were not happy with the outcome so we wanted a second opinion and booked him in to see a vet at Vets for Pets. We were seen by Helen. She checked him over and immediately knew what the issue was, which wasn’t good. A carcinoma. Very sympathetic towards us. Didn’t stress the cat. We took the cat back to the vets today as he had deteriorated. After an honest and transparent discussion with Helen we decided the only option would be to put our cat to sleep. She was amazing. Yet again showing true professionalism in her approach. Thankyou
Danny

Oh where to begin, i have clients that attend this vet and have attended with clients, i was mortified for the first time in 20 years when a vet from this practice tild us that they were effectively only GPs. Talk about selling yourself short considering veterinary surgeons are often much more widely versatile than a standard GP. Further more then push my clients into procedures not giving the full range of information and explaining situations as if they are worse case scenario, but hey, the drained multiple of my clients insurance for the year leaving my clients to scramble to get more money. Further more they charge full to half the fee for a 5 minute appointment to look at a healing surgical wound just to say "yeah that looks good" charging £20 for less that 5 minutes is daylight robbery and im well aware many vets charge it. Many decent vets dont. Follows ups should be free unless they are actually going to take an amount of time. They have even recharged for these followups so my clients still pay for them even if they cancel since we are all capable of watching for an infection. Sadly the only decent members of staff there is Helen herself and i believe her name is Dani. There are other good members or staff but none that ive dealt with other than the lovely reception staff. There one particular member of staff, her name escapes me, older woman, looks like a breeze will take her away, her favourite thing to chew may be a wasp. i believe she is a nurse but i may be wrong, one a sign outside it claims she wanted to do behaviour but then wont go near large dogs even when they are muzzled, clearly shouldnt be near the profession. Honestly speaking the practice is lay out well, it is one of the better Vets4Pets ive seen, i just believe it would benefit from some policy changes and maybe some further staff training.

All they care about is MONEY I found a stray kitten days ago took him in until as it was raining and cold however he seemed very unwell he didn’t eat didn’t play didn’t groom him self like cats do. I rang this place to see if they can check him they said find rspca as he’s a stray I rang rspca who advised me the vets have a a duty of care and Code of professional conduct with rcvf and cannot deny treatment. I rang the vets back they said no I have to ring rspca. I’m telling them how unwell this poor baby is instead they’re too concerned about the money. They then say i can bring him in but that means the kitten is now there’s and I don’t get any updates about him don’t get to see him nothing. It felt like a punishment for not giving them money. They said if I want to keep the kitten I have to pay for the treatment I’m a uni student I just found the kitten I had no intention of having pets but my heart broke whne I saw him and decided as it’s a stray I wouldn’t mind keeping him then. However they said I cannot have him if I want the check up for free they will take the kitten which is stupid as why wouldn’t you want a stray kitten to have a safe home to go to?. In the end I did not go to them I went to Oakmount veterinary centre who did the treatment right away gave me updates on the kitten and let me take the kitten home to keep him safe and loved.

What can you say about this place. The girls here are amazing. From the reception staff to the actual vets. They are all absolutely amazing. I've been with them through the worst time (saying goodbye to my elderly husky) to the best time (welcoming our husky puppy) & all throughout they remain professional & really do care about you but mostly care about your pet. Danny (or auntie Danny as our boy knows her) is truly the embodiment of who vets4pets are. The welcome we get every time is amazing & we really feel valued. Even if you're a panicky parent. They won't look at you like you're an idiot. They're right there with you. Price wise they are more than fair & with the puppy support the ensure you and your pup can just enjoy each other & not worry about what the hell to do. Thank you to everyone at vets4pets, you guys are amazing!!!!

Avoid!! Been going to Vets4Pets for 7 years until couple days ago I decided to move !! Couple years ago my rabbit had a brain parasite after antibiotics treatment it came back and the vet said the best option for my bunny is to put to sleep as there nothing else they can do for him. Couple of weeks ago I brought my other bunny with an upset tummy, he been given a treatment but been told if the treatment don’t work he will need putting to sleep - he’s perfectly healthy now and has no health issues ! Recently my dog hurt his paw he been given a strong dose of medicine that made him not be himself !! When I took my bunny for her vaccines I been told through the phone it will be £55, got the vaccine done and the reception told me it will be £75 , even thou I told them I haven’t got enough on me and only have £60 they weren’t happy about it and took the £60 off me and told me to pay the outstanding £15 till end off the week even thou I don’t get paid till 30th. If you struggle financially wouldn’t recommend coming here as they will be unhappy with you if you don’t have enough and won’t book further appointments until you pay the outstanding balance.
