Every visit to Rose Valley Vets with our dog Tilly has been a thoroughly positive experience. She has attended on several occasions for a range of treatments, including booster vaccinations, stomach issues, and being spayed. On each visit, the care and attention she has received have been exceptional. The practice is always clean and well maintained, and every member of staff we’ve encountered has been friendly, professional, and welcoming. The team are consistently helpful and readily available to answer any questions, which provides great reassurance as a pet owner. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Rose Valley Vets — our experience with the practice has been consistently excellent.

This review is from back in november it has taken while due the process of Belle and having issues with another cat of ours... Our Belle was almost 9 years old, she was rarely seen by a vet as she never had any issues needing vet treatment, she was one big fur ball! One night late in the evening Belle had suddenly stopped using her back, my partner called me and I contacted the vets around 11pm, Jessie the vet on call at that time suggested we go in and get her seen too. Upon arrival we was very emotional as she has been with us since she was 8weeks old, the vet had a feel of her legs and tummy and felt that her kidneys where really small so she explained to us it would be best to do a blood test which we did there and then, Belle was in kidney failure, as any other pet owner would know when that is being said to you, you instantly go to best treatment, unfortunately this was not a long term option for Belle, Jessie explained everything in great detail for us, but ultimately Belle wouldn't be able to live a quality of life so the decision was made. Belle was to be put to sleep, I wont put the full details on here of what happened as it can be very traumatic for some, Belle veins had already collapsed and we struggled to get the stuff into Belle that she needed, we was there until around 1am with Belle, the vet was very understanding about our emotions and remained as professional as possible. 2 weeks later we got the phone call Belle was back at the surgery, we received her in a beautiful box along with forget me not seeds, a gorgeous card with her paw print, fur and her magnificent whiskers. On another note we continue to use Rose Valley, Clark our very big bengal-siamese cat had broken his toe the day after Belle was put to sleep, the vets where amazing and gave us all the options on the table and agreed for us to take home with pain killers for him and to see how he went, Clark is now a very dramatic boy and holds the wrong leg up to get sympathy and treats! I could not recommend this practice enough! Yes the price can be a big amount but you pay for what you get, I would give them every penny I had as long as it made my pet well enough to live a long life as no amount of money could replace them in my heart!

I was reading the reviews whilst going to order a repeat prescription for my pup. All I can say is that the negative review below is absolutely not the experience of all clients. After a hip dislocation, we found out our puppy had bilateral hip dysplasia at age 1 and needed two hip replacements. We dealt with a locum vet with the first hip dislocation and Francesca (the owner) upon the second dislocation, and the compassion and care was second to none on both occasions. They were unable to assist with the surgery (it required a specialist) but took the time to discuss all our options and what worked best for us both. Our dog has had many vet’s trips in her short little life, but she still runs into rose valley with excitement, which is a true testament to all the care and genuine love from the staff. We wouldn’t go elsewhere.

I could not be more positive about our care and treatment that Rose Valley gave our 2 year old cocker spaniel. My dog had a bowel blockage after eating a plastic cap and had been really unwell. Rose Valley took our call and understood our fears. They booked us in late on a Friday, assessed and then feedback their findings. They called us and we agreed that the emergency surgery was needed and they preformed this despite going out of their working day. They saved her life and without them going the extra mile things could have been very different. Francesca who preformed the surgery was amazing as was the veterinary nurse Charissa and Mel on reception who helped us at every turn. I would give 6 stars if I could.

I had to put a star as a rating, but truthfully if I could have done less I would. I know the practice may respond to this and say it’s ’a fake review’ as I’ve read through the reviews and I’ve seen their replies, just to note THIS IS NOT A FAKE REVIEW! This review comes from experience with this practice. My mum came in late last year with my 13 year old spaniel who got taken unwell, my mum was fobbed off with diagnosis’s from the day 1! Things eventually got worse for my spaniel and my mum returned on a Sunday and got told they couldn't bring my dog’s notes up on the computer as it was Sunday and classed as an emergency! For me not at all good enough, whether it’s an emergency surgery open or not you should at the bare minimum have the pets details available to see! My mum spent thousands of pounds trying to get a diagnosis and in the end we got told there were 3 things which MAY be wrong with her. Two of the issues being cancer, yet this was never tested for, and never diagnosed, we got told to go home and think of our options. A week later my mum got a second opinion from a local vet who said she was riddled with breast cancer he saw it as soon as he parted her legs (this wasn’t one of the diagnosis we got from this surgery by the way) this EXPERIENCED vet told us the kindest thing we could do would be to euthanise her! Also worth noting is although my mum paid for consultations with a vet, all our dog’s consultations were with a veterinary nurse, with the greatest respect, we paid for a consultation with a VET! My mum sent an email to the surgery and didn’t get a response, I didn’t think she would to be honest as it’s not rating them. I’ve told everyone I know with a pet to avoid this practice because they really are just in it for the money it would seem. They don’t care about your pets, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS! And if the practice should reply saying it’s a ‘fake review’ it’s not and I’ve got all the receipts to back my review up!
