The practice is open six days a week starting from 8:00 am until 6:30 pm from Monday to Friday, and 8:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturdays. We understand that your life can be hectic and your pets can fall ill at the most inconvenient times. That’s why we are open on Saturdays so that you can come in at your convenience without having to compromise your work schedule.
At Dumbledore Vets, you can trust that your pet will receive the care and attention it deserves in our modern facility. Our team prides itself on being able to handle a range of animals, including birds, cats, dogs, poultry, and small mammals with the utmost professionalism and care.
Our facility boasts various services such as client car park and disabled public access to make access to our facility easier. Additionally, we are open on weekends to provide you and your pets with round-the-clock care.
Our veterinary team is composed of Dr Katherine Dalton, BVetMed, MRCVS, who has extensive practical and scientific knowledge to take care of all your pet’s medical needs. She leads an experienced team of veterinary nurses including Mrs Lorna Adams, RVN, head nurse, and Miss Ella Hicks and Mrs Leanne Willshire, RVN, to provide the best care for your pets.
Dumbledore Vets Ltd provides a broad range of services from routine checkups to surgical procedures, vaccinations to dental care and nutritional advice. Our wealth of experience, modern medical equipment, and cutting-edge technology enable us to accurately diagnose and treat your pet’s ailments.

Dumbledore vets are simply amazing , they actually saved my dogs life , when the vet she had been under for two years decided in an emergency that they had no vet to deal with her ! Albeit I had Just paid them over £2000 pound in fees for an ailment she didn’t even suffer from! I had to think fast and take her to a another vet as she couldn’t breath , we rushed her in the car to Dumbledore vets where within a minute of being there she was on the operating table ! And they saved her life thank god ! We never ever went back to our old vet’s , neither do we want to Dumbledore vets are simply angels , kind , caring , the animals come first in this vets and that what all owners want & need for their pets ! 100% the care cannot be faulted they are simply amazing vets ! And one I’m so happy I have found ! 5 stars all round ! Staff are friendly and really do care !

My review cannot justify just how amazing Dumbledore veterinary practice is, particularly after our recent emergency over the weekend. Hattie Foster was incredible. She quickly and compassionately assessed my dog, clearly explaining the situation, the necessary diagnostics, and all our treatment options. She handled my dog with the upmost care, as if he was her own pet, which meant the world to us during such a stressful time. We never felt rushed, and all our questions were answered throughly. Hattie is so professional, knowledgeable and extremely kind. If you are looking for a veterinary practice that genuinely cares and provides exceptional care, Dumbledore veterinary practice is the place.

We registered with Dumbledores after our old vets were not very understanding with our German shepherd Puppy. Dumbledores have been amazing. They truly do understand that all K9s are different and treat them as such. They always help as much as possible with reactive dogs to help them stay as calm as possible. One of our cats also have a very severe wound to his paw after a run in with what appears to be wire, after nearly losing his paw the staff did everything they could and we are pleased that he has made a full recovery. They really are fantastic and would always recommend.

Thank you Katy and Team, I would highly recommend their services. From the warm welcome they show you, to the care and service to look after my spaniel has been wonderful. It’s a half an hour drive from Poole but it’s worth it and I’d drive further if it meant Katy or any of the team could take care of Monty. We came to them with a reoccurring ear problem but they suggested treatment that hadn’t been suggested to me before and it’s been successful so far. Thank you
