I feel like my pet is in good hands at Firmount. The whole team, receptionists, vets and nurses are always very pleasant to deal with. Firmount are friendly and confident with my dog who can be a bit nervous at times. I have been with them since my dog was a puppy. She had her initial injections there and she was spayed with this vet. All appointments have been smooth and my dog was given lots of care. One thing to note: They use 'PetsApp', a mobile app I was encouraged to download when joining the vet. Initially it was incredible, it's a WhatsApp-like app where you can send messages, send photos, schedule appointments directly with Firmount staff and it stores important details about your dog. This app is very useful for asking quick questions about your dog's wellbeing. For example: my dog ate something it shouldn't have, instead of scheduling an appointment, I could send a picture and a message to the vet to ask for their advice. They were always quick to respond. However, recently, they haven't been as responsive lately, and sometimes I have even been ignored. I have given the benefit of the doubt because usually this service is great. I hope they can address this and keep this service running smoothly.

We had to let our beautiful staffy let go in there on Monday . We knew he was sick and we made the right decision. Few days before we called asking to let him go in the car in his bed where he will not be uncomfortable as it’s heartbreaking for any dogs or any owners. 💔 they said yes and I know it’s a common thing. On the day we had that very angry vet coming out from back door telling us it’s not as easy. (What a bs) anyway we went in and it took forever! That male vet was rude, emotionless and tried to squeeze as many as he could on that day! Sloane was so stressed on his final moments that it absolutely broke me. The girl who took us to the room was lovely so was the one who came to check is his heart was still beating. 💔 it took 30 mins for him to sit there and wait and made such an impact on how we said goodbye! We have another wee pup who will NEVER get back to this place. People like that should never work with any pets as they are not just the pets! They are your friends, they are family and Sloane was mine 💔

I could not recommend this veterinary practice enough - my cat isn't registered here (yet!) but I had to bring him in as an emergency on Boxing Day. I was really worried about him but vet Cathair dealt with the situation swiftly and professionally. He was super knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The practice was clean and they're very reasonably priced as well. My kitty came back home the same day in better shape than ever! Over the moon with the service and highly recommend to anyone with a furry familiar. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart 🙏🏼

Excellent vets! Great facilities & super friendly staff! Can't fault the staff or the place at all! I have found all the staff here to be very knowledgeable, caring & willing to go above & beyond to give all my animals the best possible care! Free carpark, easy to locate & access & fully accessible for all as it's all one level with no steps for clients at all. Caters for both small animals/pets & for large animals/farm & Equine etc with two separate reception areas for quick, easy & friendly service.
