As always the place is spotless, receptionest friendly and attentive. As for Triona the vet (we wil only book with her by the way) she is very thorough and kind to Samara our cat. She explained everything till we understood, advised us what to do. She never gives treatment unless it was needed. She helped us with the flea treatment right for our cats. She was very patient with the cat too. Like every visit, we left very happy and reassured.

Goddard Vet was absolutely wonderful. The staff were incredibly attentive during a stressful emergency situation and kept us constantly updated on wait times. Fortunately we didn't have to wait long at all. The vet was brilliant, highly helpful, and quickly got our little sausage dog on the mend. I highly recommend this practice, thank you so much!

I would strongly advise anyone to think very carefully before trusting this practice with their pet. My very loved dog Coco had been under their care for many years. Between December 2025 and March 2026, she presented with ongoing heavy vaginal bleeding despite being spayed, yet her care was not appropriately managed and no diagnosis was reached. Despite months of symptoms, I was repeatedly told by the vet, Alexandra, that the only options were an expensive CT scan (quoted up to £4,000) or palliative care. I was also advised that further investigation would likely be unsuccessful due to her size. At no point was a mass identified. Utter incompetence. Coco was consistently treated as a difficult dog yet has never been reactive or given a reason for her to be treated this way, she was routinely muzzled and sedated, which significantly limited proper examination and was completely unnecessary. Concerned, I sought an urgent second opinion and the difference in care was shocking to the core. At My Vet 24-7 (Hillingdon) Daniel examined Coco calmly without sedation or a muzzle, including a full physical and rectal examination. During this first appointment, he was able to palpate a very large vaginal tumour immediately just a few inches inside her - something that had been completely missed by Goddard’s yet I was told I would even be able to feel it myself. Within one week: • She had appropriate investigations • Multiple biopsies were taken • She was diagnosed with epithelial carcinoma Coco was treated with kindness, patience, and dignity - not as a problem to manage. Tragically, the tumour had already progressed significantly due to the considerable amount of time waisted. She developed a bladder obstruction and deteriorated rapidly. She had to be put to sleep at home, in my arms, surrounded by those who loved her on Saturday the 21st of March 2026 17:15pm. I cannot accept that a tumour of this size - described as massive and advanced - was not identified earlier by a ‘reputable veterinarian hospital’. This represents a serious failure in basic clinical assessment and decision-making. My dog suffered unnecessarily due to missed opportunities for earlier diagnosis and intervention. In contrast, I cannot thank Daniel enough for the care he provided in such a short time and coming to my home after he finished work so Coco could pass over the rainbow bridge surrounded by such raw love in her own home. I would strongly recommend him to anyone - he showed exactly what compassionate, competent veterinary care should look like. No animal should be left to suffer in this way when a basic examination could have identified the issue sooner. I will never return to this practice, and I would not recommend them to others. If you care about your animals, AVOID THIS PLACE & ALEXANDRA AT ALL COSTS! My Coco deserved better. You will all be held accountable.

I rarely leave reviews, but our experience at Goddard Veterinary Group, Mandeville Hospital, under Dr Sunil Thanki, was so upsetting that I feel other pet owners deserve to be aware. Mila was admitted on 1 December 2025 with vomiting and a fever. At drop-off, we were verbally told the initial overnight investigations would be around £650 to £680. We were also told that the £2,500 upper figure on the consent form would apply only if surgery became necessary and alongside one comprehensive ultrasound. Neither of those circumstances occurred overnight, yet by the following morning we were told costs had already reached £2,500. Overnight, an X-ray and a FAST scan were carried out without prior discussion or explicit consent. The next morning we were informed that a comprehensive abdominal ultrasound under further sedation was now required. This was presented as necessary to properly diagnose Mila. We agreed, because when your pet is unwell you trust the professionals caring for them. After just 2 days in hospital, the final bill came to £3,632.42. This significantly exceeded what we had been led to expect and went beyond the stated upper figure without any revised written estimate or updated signed consent beforehand. The financial shock compounded what was already an incredibly stressful time. What concerned us further was the clinical communication. After the ultrasound, we were told Mila had inflammatory bowel disease based on intestinal thickening. We were advised this would require long-term dietary management and possibly medication. Then, at the follow-up appointment on 22 December, we were told she did not have IBD. No additional testing had taken place in between. That sudden change, without explanation, left us confused and uncertain about what to believe. We were also advised to book repeat imaging shortly afterwards to assess movement of renal stones. This included both another ultrasound and an X-ray, despite Mila being clinically well at that point. Given her long history of urinary symptoms attributed to stones without previous spontaneous resolution, we struggled to understand the urgency. We sought independent advice privately, which suggested that a bladder ultrasound alone would likely have been sufficient. The invoicing added to our concerns. We were charged for 25 sachets of gastrointestinal food during a 2-day admission. Mila has never eaten more than 2 sachets per day when well. It is not realistic that she consumed 13 sachets while unwell in that timeframe. After repeated emails, 12 sachets were refunded due to a duplicated payment, but discrepancies still remain. The matter dragged on for months. Our insurer questioned the authorisation and necessity of the investigations, which delayed progress and left us significantly out of pocket during that period. Eventually we dropped the claim simply to move forward, but the stress and financial impact had already taken their toll. We have since transferred Mila to another veterinary practice. The contrast in communication, transparency, consultation time and overall care has been striking. We now receive clear written estimates before anything is carried out and feel fully informed in decision-making. This experience damaged our trust. I would strongly encourage anyone considering treatment here to ensure they obtain detailed written estimates in advance and complete clarity about imaging plans, sedation and associated costs before consenting.

The 11th of December Nur has taken Ultrasounds of her heart. I told them that day I wanted the Report, Images and Blood Test result. The 15th of December I received an email from Doctor Madison saying "The blood test came back with an elevation to one of the parameters associated with Nur's heart". She didn't send me the Blood Test report, nor the Ultrasound images as the small, printed ones say at the header "Images in the report are not for diagnosis". I asked them the images again telling them I wanted a second vet opinion so I need the images files for Diagnosis. The 23rd of December they send me the Blood Test result. The parameter proBNP 388.0

PLEASE IN an emergency do not enter, if you love your animal! I am very upset by the care my young male cat received here during a urinary blockage emergency. I brought him in when he was unable to urinate and clearly in severe pain. I was told he had been unblocked, and I paid a very large bill to save his life. However, when I brought him home, he was still showing obvious signs of distress. His bladder still felt full, he wasn’t eating, and he was hiding. I never received a follow-up call to check on his condition. Within a week, I had to bring him back because he was still unable to urinate properly. I was then told he was blocked again. I strongly believe he was never properly unblocked the first time. Despite spending a significant amount of money, I was told I would need to pay the full cost again, or consider euthanasia. This was suggested even though no clear diagnosis was given and I was told no crystals were found!?! I was devastated. My cat was not even two years old, and euthanasia was repeatedly mentioned without exploring other clear solutions. That same day, I took him to another veterinary clinic farther away. On the way, his condition worsened…his gums were bleeding and he was shaking in pain. (See video down below) The second clinic charged significantly less, kept him for four days, and successfully unblocked him. They also followed up with a call after he came home to check on him. It has now been over a week, and he is eating well, urinating normally, and back to his happy self. This experience was not just about money it was about the level of care and compassion provided. I believe my cat deserved better, and I am deeply disappointed in how this was handled. I will handle this case… as I know the services was not performed correctly, the other Vet came to me with so much information about my Cat that I did not know, it’s hard for me as I am someone that works full-time and is barely making a lot of money but this company has just taken this a lot from me acted like they’ve done the service but they’ve not done anything for my cats and a very quick to suggest euthanasia because he just can’t pee, which is a stupid reason, that other Vet didn’t even mention euthanasia the word did not even come out of them mouth.

Dr Anna Thomas is an exceptional veterinarian, and I truly believe she saved my cat’s life! Before coming under Dr Thomas’s care, my cat was being treated at PDSA for eosinophilic granuloma complex (EGC) with repeated courses of steroids and then antibiotics. Unfortunately, this led to severe immune suppression, and secondary complications developed. Painful ulcers became infected with a multi-drug resistant infection, and my cat’s condition deteriorated rapidly, with high fever and widespread inflammation. She reached a critical state. Dr Thomas approached the situation with outstanding clinical insight and calm professionalism. She took the time to fully reassess the case, explained what had gone wrong, and created a clear, step-by-step treatment plan tailored specifically to my cat’s needs. Most importantly, she selected the correct immunomodulatory treatment and managed it carefully and thoughtfully. Thanks to Dr Thomas’s expertise, attention to detail and compassionate care, my cat recovered from a life-threatening condition and is now doing very well. Throughout the process, I felt informed, supported and reassured. I tried to attach photos showing my cat’s condition before starting treatment with Dr Anna Thomas. Unfortunately, I cannot include images of the wounds and ulcers due to Google’s content restrictions, though they would truly show how critical her condition was. Today, my cat has made a full recovery: all lesions have healed, the inflammation has resolved, and she now looks completely healthy, happy, and full of life!. My cat today made a full recovery: all lesions have healed, the inflammation has resolved, and she now looks completely healthy, happy and full of life! Dr Anna Thomas combines exceptional medical knowledge with genuine empathy for both animals and their owners. I am deeply grateful to her and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone seeking truly outstanding veterinary care!
