The best vets around by far. Their priority is the animals welfare and not how much money they can get out of you unlike many vet practices these days. I drive 2 hours to use them as the main vet Pat is a top class person and his staff follow his example.

Pat has always been wonderful. We brought a cat to him last year. He'd developed a tumour on his leg which multiple vets refused to operate on due to "a lack of skin to close". Instead, they instructed daily dressing changes. He came to us whilst my parents were on holiday and I brought him to Pat because he was evidently in discomfort, the tumour was ulcerated and he kept trying to chew it. I assumed he'd have to be put to sleep noting vets' refusal to operate, however, Pat didn't bat an eye. He let us drop him off for an overnight stay due to distance and work schedules, he removed the tumour and stitched him up at an affordable price. He kept in contact via email to monitor the healing process and was great all around. We recently brought a stray in, who'd had a burst abscess and even though the clinic closed at 11:30, Pat kept him in and treated this out of hours. He also neutered him in the process and treated for fleas. I can't fault the care at all!

We have been using Pat and the wonderful veterinary nurses at Churnet Valley Vets for over 10 years with our dog and cat. The knowledge and skills of the individuals working here is second to none. All staff know us and our pets by name and take the time to get to know us and them - all care is carefully tailored to suit their needs. We look forward to using their services for many years to come!

I have been taking my fur babies to Pat and his team for over 14 years. Brilliant team brilliant vet - though he is a keen cyclist and well you can’t have everything.

Lovely practice, so caring about the animals, Pat gives you such a feeling of confience in his care where other vets I have experienced seem more concerned about cash before care....The whole staff are lovely and Niko is happy with her care here.

Absolutely fantastic vets I've been going to Pat and his staff since Bailey was a puppy and today 10 years later he's been in for a ruptured crutiate ligament and again absolute above and beyond care for my Boy by all the Staff and Pat who is an amazing vet and tells you exactly how it is and always offers the correct advice. Thankyou again to all of you.

I would highly recommend Pat and the team, who look after my eight dogs. Service levels are excellent which combined with expert knowledge, understanding, caring and realistic fees make for an amazing experience. I took one of my dogs for a consultation today and despite her condition not being common Pat diagnosed and started the treatment within the consultation. I would highly recommend Pat and his team.
