If you love your horse DO NOT USE THIS VETS!!!!!!! New years 2024/2025 i had to call them out for my horse because he had slipped and his hip had dislocated at the bottom of my field. I had the vet Phillis Hughes come out from here, she didnt even LOOK at my horse, just immediately got the item for euthanasia out of her car! No exam was performed on him! He was only 15 years old! I asked for an exam to be done, any amount of money was fine! She refused and said he was suffering and immediately needed euthanising! She would not allow me to speak because I was only 21 but looked a lot younger, she told me to get an adult to speak to even when I TOLD her I was 21!!!!! I was spoken down to and treated like a CHILD! I WILL be taking this further now that I have more evidence!

I sadly lost my horse Max suddenly 3 weeks ago. Dyffryn Tawe vets registered me immediately and came out within 30 minutes on hearing how ill my horse had suddenly become. Brogan the vet and her student Jed were extremely compassionate and caring and broke the news to me gently that Max would have to be euthanised which I’d already guessed but hoped wasn’t the case. Brogan was calm and kind throughout and even cut a length from his tail and plaited it for me. She left me time and space to say goodbye to Max and arranged for him to be taken away. I don’t have enough praise for this veterinary practice and all the people in it who dealt with me on the day. A condolence card from them subsequently was a lovely touch. I whole heartedly recommend them. Thank you to all but Brogan especially - Jackie and Max.

The best equine vets I have ever dealt with in the South Wales area. Have had to use them several times and on every occasion regardless of which vet has had to attend, they have always been compassionate and professional in every way. They have not only ensured that my horse is fine but myself as well. I could not put into words a recommendation that would be high enough. Thank you Dyffryn Tywi- Lisa,Phillipa, all the team and family, you are all simply put "The Best"

Amazing vets in every way!! Unfortunate we lost our horse due to unknown reasons to us of the vets. The team in Dyffryn Tywi gave my horse (Harry) the slightest bit of chance of survival and they never gave up. I can't thank the team enough for the love and care they gave Harry within the time they had him in their care. I always had updates throughout the day and night even - even if that was good or bad (good trait to have). Harry was calm and always in a relaxed state no matter what was happening- this is down to how the team handled the situation. I just wanted to also mention that the last minutes we had with Harry before being put to sleep...the vet (Sarah) was understanding and gave us the much needed alone time. When it came to putting Harry to sleep we all shared many tears including Sarah. Reviews on here that are negative are clearly signs of twisted owners!!! I have seen how much the vets care for the health and wellbeing for the horses so ignore any negative feedback!! Once again- thank you Dyffryn Tywi for the love and support!!! We will only ever use you from this moment on!
