I had a little tabby cat called Lynx, she had to have her eye removed here and then sadly put to sleep. The entire process and team could not have been kinder to both my cat and myself / family. I would highly recommend this vets for any and all procedures no matter how big or small the whole team was incredibly supportive and I can’t thank them enough❤️

I have been going to this vets for many years with all my animals. Recently both my cats had to have ear operations and they always ring to let you know how they are doing after the op. Can't recommend James and his team highly enough and would not go anywhere else.

I can not rate this vets highly enough I took my Dog in one Thursday as an emergency and they saved his life They really were a great team

I’ve known James for over 25 years he brings a wealth of experience and compassion when caring for his patients. James and the team are extremely professional, knowledgeable and kind.

I will keep editing this review as it is recent and positive reviews from years ago are showing up before this one! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! Took my 7 year old frenchie in on the 9th of Feb. After the vet James, pulled both of his paws forward with no other checks on his back or back legs, he was misdiagnosed with a stiff shoulder. Prescribed metacam and we were told to come back if it hadn’t improved in a week for x-rays. I didn’t put him in the crate (which was vital at this point), I continued to walk him and let him play around with our other dog (which is the worst thing I could have done). On the 14th of feb we had to rush him to the out of hours as he became lame in his back legs due to a spinal injury not a stiff shoulder. By the 18th, just 9 days later, my boy was dead from a slipped disc, which had it been picked up at that first appointment and James had actually took the time to check my boy rather than just pull on his front paws, and have us in and out of there within 5 minutes, with early surgery he could possibly still be here! My boy is still at the crematorium as I write this so.. IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET DO NOT USE THIS VET!!

My partner has just taken our puppy to this vets as we are registered with them to get him weighed which was all fine however my partner wanted to ask a quick question about our pups skin he was told to wait in the room and the vet will be ‘ 2 secs’ the vet had spoke to 3 people and disappeared 30 mins had passed my partner has left the room to speak to receptionist to see what’s taking so long and no one is to be seen so he’s left , very slow service and now left with our questions unanswered

I lost my beautiful girl, Rosie, on 30th August 2025, and I feel utterly devastated and let down by this practice. Rosie was not “just a dog” — she was my baby, my children’s best friend, and part of our family. The failures here stole precious time from us, and I will never get that back. Rosie was diagnosed with suspected lung cancer on the 22nd of August, I couldn’t afford and didn’t want to put her through chemo. Despite clear instructions from her oncologist veterinarian, for a drainage procedure Rosie desperately needed to remove fluid from around her lungs was not carried out. That procedure could have kept her comfortable and given us the chance to say goodbye properly. Instead, she deteriorated quickly, and we lost her just three days later. Those three days were everything to us — time we could have held her, loved her, and prepared my children for her passing. That chance was taken away from us. Funny how if I payed for chemo, drainage would have had to be done regardless. But my wishes and what I wanted for us and Rosie was completely dismissed in an awful way. What makes this even worse is the way I was spoken to. I was made to feel like I was lying about Rosie’s condition. I was told she was “flat” during her first and one drainage procedure on the 20th, when in truth she was still happy, playful, and living life as normal right up until her final days. I wish I could post a video here from the morning of that appointment, she was playing and happy. Not “flat”. The way I was dismissed, spoken down to, and not believed has left me deeply hurt. And then — nothing. No follow-up, no check-in, no compassion. Not once did the practice call to ask about Rosie’s wellbeing after such a critical appointment. The silence has been deafening, and it has added to the pain of an already unbearable loss. This practice failed my Rosie when she needed them most. They failed me and my children, too. I would strongly advise anyone reading this to reconsider trusting them with your pet’s care. Your animals deserve compassion, dignity, and proper treatment — things Rosie was denied. Please don’t risk going through what we have.
