Outstanding service from Lumbry Park from the reception team to the veterinary team and everyone in between. They made us feel comfortable that our dog Ember was being taken care of in the best possible way when we were very worried about her health. She has now made a full recovery and we will be forever grateful for the service we received from everyone.

We were recently referred to Lumbry Park as our 10 year old dog was showing acute signs of neurological issues. He was diagnosed with brain cancer, and sadly nothing could be done to treat him. However, we were extremely impressed by the quality of care provided, by the highly knowledgeable staff, and by the levels of empathy and respect shown both to our dog and to our family. Special thanks in all regards to Cate. I would have no hesitation in recommending.

The Team at Lumbry Park have been wonderful in caring for my elderly Jack Russell, Mr Darcy (on the left of photo). He underwent a splenectomy and a thyroidectomy all in the space of about 7 weeks to remove a mass in his abdomen and a tumor in his thyroid and has come through them both amazingly. He has been home now just a week and is doing really well from his first and his second operation. Everyone was so supportive, their communication was amazing, their skill exceptional !! and nothing was a trouble to them. They responded to any my calls when I was concerned or needed advice and they briefed me in detail on everything that was happening. A huge thankyou to the Kasia, Matteo, Faye, Danielle, Georgia, Aditi, Quentin, Kate and the whole Nursing and Reception Teams!!! Mr Darcy and I are so very thankful to you all. Chrissie Smith, Mr Darcy and his brother Danny.

We had a fantastic experience with Lumbry Park. Our hound has an atypical condition that has been very hard to diagnose and, thanks to Shaun Calleja, she’s finally on the right medication and thriving. The initial consultation felt so thorough and like every detail mattered. We were well informed of costs for the subsequent diagnostic testing (which was all tailored after the consultation) and given different options, and never felt pressured. The subsequent report for us and our vet was so detailed and really proved how much time and effort went into the recommendations for future care. Very glad we had a referral to this organisation and grateful for their amazing work. Also - really fantastic facilities that were super clean, professional and welcoming. Particularly appreciated the separate dog/cat waiting area and the refreshments.

We needed Lumbry Park's emergency help after our cat suddenly became very unwell and deteriorated rapidly overnight. She wouldn't eat, had lost an incredible amount of weight, could barely lift her head, and we feared the worst. From the moment we arrived at Lumbry Park, we were made to feel welcomed. Our little cat was rushed through and seen immediately, while we waited among the comfortable chairs and refreshments. While we waited (for what seemed like forever but was only about 20 minutes), we were greeted by Sue on reception, who talked us through the various forms, insurance assistance, and payment options. It didn't feel rushed and all of our questions were answered in a respectful and appropriate way. Dr Judy came to speak with us after stabilising and assessing our cat. We have never spoken with a Vet in such detail about our little cat. She took a full history and really took the time to understand the problem, prior medical histories, our cat's likes and dislikes. We felt listened to and comforted while our world seemed to be falling apart. Dr Judy was realistic with the costs associated, as well as our cat's prognosis and treatment plan (while it was a bit uncertain at this stage as there was a lot to investigate). Our cat spent 5 days at Lumbry Park and, while it was difficult knowing she wasn't with us, we knew she was in the best hands. From excellent communication, to very quick responses, to prices in line with quotes, to support outside of ours, we cannot thank Lumbry Park enough. After our cat was discharged, we received a full plan, and they have continued to liaise with our local vet to have her follow-up medication, results and treatment organised. When our cat arrived home, we had some concerns but after phoning the out-of-hours line, we again felt at ease. The vet on the phone took his time, helping us to assess whether our concerns were paranoia or something that we would need to address. We have also communicated with Xavier via email, who was caring for our cat during her stay, who again, was quick to respond to emails but very detailed and helpful in his responses. We hope not to need the services of Lumbry Park again but I would have full confidence in using them in the future.

From the moment we arrived at Lumbry Park, we were made to feel calm and supported during what was a very anxious time for us. The receptionist greeted us warmly, took all our details, and explained clearly what would happen next, which immediately helped put us at ease. Karyn then came to keep us company before we met Russell. He listened patiently to every one of my worried, and probably silly, questions and never once made me feel foolish. Most importantly, he handled Louis with such care, gentleness, and kindness. The overwhelming relief of learning that Louis does not have bilateral luxating patellas is something I’ll always be grateful for. I cannot recommend Russell and everyone at Lumbry Park highly enough.

Wonderful place. Our 15 year old dog Poppy was referred when she was really only a day from a euthanasia decision after her lymphoma had come out of remission. Kasia the oncologist was just amazing. She was so clear and with an absolute plan of what exactly could be done to treat her and what the treatment could and couldn't achieve. Poppy was treated there and then on Monday with an enzyme and again on Wednesday with chemo. The whole thing was so efficient and quick that Poppy barely knew she'd been to the vets. We waited in reception whilst the treatments were given then took her home. Everyone we've met there has been kind and friendly. Our visits to Lumbry Park have already been worth every penny. Poppy has improved in herself as the week has gone on, is alert, interested and eating well and the lymph nodes have gone down. Today she had the longest happiest walk she's had in ages. We've been given the gift of wonderful extra time with our beloved dog and that's everything we could have asked for. I'm so grateful to our local vet for her efforts in referring us and would recommend Lumbry Park to anyone with an animal with cancer.

Lumbry is a very special place and everyone we have met has been amazing, from reception to nurses and to the vets and specialists. When we first arrived and met Heidi and Lorna, they picked up our two boys, tickled their little tummies and both kittens just went gooey-eyed and fell in love. It is never easy as you don't visit a place like Lumbry unless there are issues with your pet. On subsequent visits, we met with Lorna whose compassion, care, support, expertise and love has been out of this world. We will always be eternally grateful to her and all of the staff at Lumbry for everything they've done for us and our two boys. They truly are special people, delivering first-class care for what is such an incredibly hard job. A heartfelt thank you to all at Lumbry.
