I adopted my dog Skye yesterday from Oak Tree and it was obvious that a lot of thought and care is put into the adoption, we were even given a book about her detailing her training, health , and things that she enjoys and could benefit her. As well as all sorts of checks and help re insurance/ her microchip/ her vet check etc.and how to prepare for her coming home. What a lovely place and lovely people, and there is a paddock for dog exercise, a small shop and a café where we enjoyed a lovely lunch.

Absolutely great little place. The staff are very polite and friendly and do a great job in the upkeep of the animals. This place needs more funding to help expand so come on guys get on the road and go check it out.

Visit this place when we are out that way collecting our Xmas tree. A well run place with friendly staff and well looked after inmates. Definitely worth a visit

Very approachable, knowledgeable staff who showed me the dog I was looking for even though I had little experience. I certainly knew everything about the dog when we finished a walk in their woods. Other rescues seem to want a non-refundable deposit prior to even meeting the dog but not here. Gina answered all my questions in depth but the dog I wanted wasn't for me unfortunately, he was lovely, but not for me. Gina is going to contact me when a suitable companion comes available, and having been with her I trust her judgement so I have stopped looking and will wait. Great set up, great people Update Gina has been in touch as she had a dog that was a match for me, I booked an appointment and spent an hour with Casey and Kuro a 4 year old staffie and got a second view with my wife and we committed to adopt, a week later I have Kuro at home with us and he has settled in nicely but it will be a slow process. Big Thanks to all at Oaktree rescue for making my plans a reality, he is fast asleep next to me now 🙂

Great little cafe, food made fresh and delicious. The charty shop has some great finds too. Lovely to see the donkeys and goats. Nice place to come and de-stress.

Lovely place where the animals look really well looked after! You can have a look around and see the donkeys and goats but to see cats and dogs I think you need to book specifically as you can't wander around them to keep them calm and happy. There's a little play area by the tearoom which has indoor and outdoor seating so you can grab a bite to eat while the kids play. The cafe area is spotlessly clean with lovely food served too and it's dog friendly as well. There's a little gift shop there and when we went they were having a table top sale as well which was nice. There's a also a lovely walk you can go for too if you fancy taking pups for a longer walk. Well worth a visit, it's lovely to see the animals be so well looked after. Please visit and spend some money there! :)
