The staff have built a lovely relationship with my dog which has meant that she is far more relaxed and less nervous than she was previously when I take her for her groom. They are always so attentive to her and take great care of her and she comes out looking beautiful every time.

We love Paws in the city, the staff are amazing and caring. From the moment you walk in you are greeted by such friendly faces. I always take my dog for a groom here and he comes out looking beautiful. They take such great care with my dog especially as he’s a nervous dog. They handle him very well and have come to know his behaviour. It helps that he is always groomed by the same lady and she knows his looks so well.

My cat had a quite a few nots in her fur and matted bits too. I took her in on the 26.01.26, Megan explained the whole process in detail, and was very kind. Both her and Lorraine did a fantastic job. I was made aware there may be some patches where Sheba's fur was very knotted, but there were none. All the unkempt bits have gone, her fur is tidy, she looks great. Thank you for doing an excellent job

Had such a great first experience getting my 2.5-year-old cat, Maks, groomed here! The groomer was super comforting and took the time to chat with me beforehand about any concerns and things that might help with Maks. She explained the whole process clearly and even sent a video from the drying stage, which I really appreciated. For his first ever bath (he’s not used to water!), he came out calm, content, and looking so handsome, bow and all. Couldn’t have asked for a smoother experience!

Our cats Cookie and Genevieve looking dapper after Megan at Paws In The City gave them a much needed grooming! Our cats can be quite anxious but they love Megan and she’s always so kind and caring to both of them

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 We absolutely love bringing our pup to Lorraine and the amazing team! Every visit is such a positive experience; he comes out looking so fresh and fluffy, and always in the happiest mood. You can tell Lorraine genuinely cares, and she handles him with so much patience and love. All of the staff are equally wonderful; warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they do. It’s such a comfort knowing he’s in safe, caring hands every time. His coat is always beautifully groomed, and they really take pride in the little details. Thank you for always going above and beyond ; we’re so glad we found you! 🐾✂️🐶

We took our one year old shorthair cat for her first groom as it’s summer and she’s been shedding a lot. Megan took amazing care of her and we were shocked at how much she’d shrunk despite being a shorthair. She came back to us after an hour of brushing, bathing, teeth, nails and sanitary trim and smelling beautiful. Will absolutely be coming back again! All the team were lovely and welcoming, thank you!

We are disappointed with this veterinary with certain practices and procedures. Through unfair circumstances we adopted a senior cat who had been left behind on our street. We took him home and looked after him. Our family had the best year and he came to us in his golden years to rest. He was loved and not alone in his time of need. We only have the fondest memories of our beloved cat. Prior to this informal adoption, we first took our beloved cat to this vet for a health check and so forth. We were quoted a very high price for dental which we didn’t want to put our senior cat through given his age etc. At this point we believed this vet was only financially motivated. It should be noted that some of staff were helpful with registration of our cat through the complicated process of ‘pet log’ for which we will still have ptsd from. Fast forward some months and our beloved kitty gained weight and we were advised by a local franchise vet only cleaning was required. Health was improving. Unfortunately our beloved kitty health deteriorated (very quickly) and through extremely cruel and difficult circumstances passed away over Xmas. We are still struggling with this to this day. But the emergency vet was brilliant and helped us in our time of need. We kept receiving marketing emails from this vet despite us telling them of new circumstances. We had to border line threaten them with data protection matters. We received a poor email response and nothing else + in our opinion zero empathy. Other vet’s sent a card in the post offering condolences which was extremely emphatic. There are some staff who are polite and respectful but had we be given some good guidance early on, we might be having a different conversation today. Who knows but some vets are only in this for financial gain. Do your own research and support a local independent vet and understand who is available out of hours, again independent and local if possible.

My experience with this practice has left me extremely disappointed and feeling that I wasted a significant amount of money. I paid £20 for a nail trimming service which was poorly carried out and not worth the fee charged. The result was so disappointing that I could have done a better job myself at home. I also became increasingly concerned about the veterinary care my dog received. After raising concerns and reviewing the records, I felt that my worries were not properly acknowledged. I discussed the situation with my dog's experienced breeder, who also expressed serious concerns about the standard of care provided. Throughout the complaint process, I found communication defensive rather than supportive. Instead of feeling listened to, I felt my concerns were repeatedly dismissed. The overall experience has completely undermined my confidence in this practice. Based on my personal experience, I would not return and would not recommend their services. A very expensive lesson and, in my opinion, a waste of money.
