Brought our cat a few weeks a go and everyone was great. Every member of staff was friendly and helpful and explained everything well. Unfortunately we lost our cat last week and we've received a lovely card from them with some forget-me-not seeds which we will definitely be planting in memory of him. Thank you 😊

Phoned up these vets with a choking dog, we were on holiday, so not familiar with Seaham. The vets saw our dog Toby at very short notice, and the outcome was very good. This practice is very efficient, very professional, and very caring. Thank-you for all that you did. I couldn't leave a 10 star review, but you deserve one..

My dog Bobby recently had dental surgery, all staff were very informative and reassuring (I was very nervous). Bobby was cared for very well and after care was also very good. The nurses are so friendly and genuinely love the animals which puts me at ease. I have always used this practice and I would not go anywhere else. Excellent service , thank you.

I had to have my cat Beauty put to sleep here. All the staff were so loving, caring, respectful and compassionate towards me, my family and Beauty from start to finish. They gave us as much time as we needed with Beauty before and after the procedure, nothing was rushed. I was given a lovely little gift that day and received a lovely sympathy card through the post a few days later along with some nose/paw prints and some of Beauty's fur which I really appreciated. They reassured me that Beauty would be well looked after and kept on her favourite blanket until she was picked up by the crematorium. I would definitely recommend Seaham vets.

I rang this morning as my dog is passing blood in his urine. The receptionist was amazing and got us an appointment for today. The vet was outstanding, really helpful and eased all our worries. We moved to Seaham vets 3 months ago and it was the best decision we have ever made. Thank you all so much, love Boris xx

Absolutely fantastic!! My cat Meowth came in to be spayed a few weeks ago. The after care she received was brilliant, the practice is very friendly and they do take good care of your precious pets. I will most definitely use these again.

Seaham Vets are incredible. I cannot stress enough how fantastic they were. We have five rats, which are an exotic pet. Our rat, Daphne developed a pituitary tumour and was in pretty rapid decline for a while. We had first believed that it was a respiritory infection, and treat her accordingly, to little success. It was undoubtably terrible saying goodbye to Daphne, but we had such tremendous support through the entire process. We brought multiple theories of what we thought it could be to them, and we were always validated and reassured, and the treatment was then always tailored to what we felt she needed. A huge thank you to the Reception team specifically Stef, who probably got sick of us ringing up to ask for advice in her palliative time, and who always loved seeing her when we brought her into clinic. A massive thank you to Abby who has seen three out of our five babies into surgery or procedure. We cannot thank you enough for your work with all of them and it was lovely knowing that you were there with Daphne when she said goodbye. Thank you to Iggy, who was fantastic with your treatment of her specifically. You were so lovely and always took our concerns very seriously. Your help gave us an extra couple of weeks with our girl! Sybil- You were incredibly helpful in seeing us and giving us considerably more information than we had. Thank you for being so thorough and kind in her last weeks, it was so appreciated. And lastly Akhil, thank you for putting her out of her pain. It was an incredibly rough day for us, but you made it easier and explained everything so thoughtfully. Thank you all for your incredible work with us!

I can’t recommend Seaham Vets highly enough. The staff are incredibly professional and have gone above and beyond to provide exceptional care for our very poorly and nervous dog, Zak. They were available on short notice when we needed them, and their compassion really put us at ease. Aftercare has been outstanding— they've even called to check on him multiple times, which truly shows how much they care. We’re so grateful for their support and expertise. Special thanks to Ignatius and Carrie.

🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 This is just awful, they ripped me off for £178 for a test that costs £40 and no one even explained that it doesn't matter because the test result should be given in 20 minutes and they told me maybe Tuesday or Wednesday and I was there on Saturday. I complained to get my money back but the manager refused me, so now I have to go back to VCMS and Citizen Advice so that they bear responsibility. No one explained anything, they just took blood and said the results would be on Tuesday or Wednesday and that was it 178£ I am attaching a photo of the receipt as well as the actual cost of the test and when they were supposed to give me the result.

I highly recommend keeping away from Seaham Vets. My experience here was awful for several reasons: Zero Care: It is obvious this practice does not genuinely care about animals. The level of care provided is practically non-existent. Unprofessional Staff: I caught the staff talking very negatively behind people's backs when they thought no one was looking or listening. Completely unacceptable. No Parking: Trying to visit is a nightmare as there is absolutely no parking available. Do not bring your pets here. Find a vet who actually cares about your animals and treats people with respect.
