Such a pity the Sunderland branch is no longer open always had a very good service there and the staff were brilliant I had to take my poorly cat to the vets for pets (my cat was registered at the Westway Sunderland branch) at the other vets I just felt I had the payment card machine waved in my face all the time and I don’t think they had the compassion as west ways My cat saddled passed away. I don’t drive so it is harder for me to get to Houghton for the nearest vets, and going on a bus with a poorly pet is not convenient

Westway Vets, Eden Hill. My dog, Robin, was seen by vet Ollie at Eden Hill yesterday afternoon. I was early for his appointment and Ollie invited Robin into the consultation room as he was free, even though it was before consultations were scheduled to begin. He was most thorough in his examination of Robin, clearly most knowledgeable , asked lots of questions and made notes. Ollie’s manner with Robin was excellent. He talked to him, praised him and did all he could to put Robin at ease. So much so that Robin rolled over for Ollie to rub his chest. Ollie treated Robin and I left the practice feeling that I’d been offered sound advice and that my dog had been well looked after and concerns answered. Thank you very much, Ollie. You’re a most caring vet. Jillian Oliver and Robin 💙🐾

Always had a great experience when using Westway. Not always the best memories (which is unfortunately part of the parcel with pets and vets) but they have always dealt with my pets needs in a timely and professional manner. Even been a shoulder to cry on in the past which is above on beyond the service they’re paid to provide. Wouldn’t use anywhere else for this reason. I have full confidence that my pets are in safe and caring hands here.

A really friendly, accessible, professional environment veterinary practise. I chose them as the dog I adopted had already been registered there so decided to stay for a few months to see if I was happy and I am so pleased I didn’t change. My local branch make you feel so at home and have so much patience for any questions or concerns you have. The surgery branch in Houghton were the same where my dog was spayed and the recovery was fantastic and I felt very prepared.
